I went to this place for the first time this evening to make sure my disabled brother in law was situated after being there for about 24 hours . He was happy, alert , finishing his evening meal which he actually finished. It was kind of a BBQ sandwich and he proclaimed fish for Friday, and said the fried fish sandwich for lunch, was great! The meals were all hot and appetizing . One med nurse came in while I was there. She was cordial, and we discussed his chart. The food service lady was really bubbly and kind. The nurses at their station were polite to me and answered my questions. Front desk lady, very kind. I got my relatives clothing put up in a very nice dresser and put up his toiletries. This place had a welcome present for Thomas. It was a sweet medium sized get well teddy bear, a box of personal note pad, pen, fancy hand sanitizer, and crossword puzzles. They also included a welcome glossary in tailing what to except while in their care, including 7 days a week workouts with physical and occupational therapy. Okay, I'm done with my glowing report, except that the entire facility was spotless. I would recommend it thus far, after one day. Carol G. Davis RMA
Omg. This place needs to be reported to the department of health and human service. It should be shut down. I was visiting a family friend for about a month and room was dusty and dirty, call bell light went unanswered for hours while she laid in feces. Another room had food all over the floor and the nurses rarely went in there. Theres never toilet paper, paper towels and the air filters in the room had dirt coming from it through the vents. Had to bring tissue in and thought this was suppose to be at the place. Walked passed Two halls and smelt nothing but urine. Majority of time the cna's stayed gathered at nurse desk just gossiping about their co workers, patients, people and laughing at people because how they look. Very deplorable. Only good I saw was therapy rehab rooms for the patients. Atleast they were working unlike most of the cna's. I would give -0- stars if I could.
This is a very nice skilled nursing facility. No unpleasant smells. The staff were cheerful and the residents were engaged. Javanti did a wonderful job answering questions and never seemed inconvenienced by a question being asked.
Where do I begin? Well, I Chesapeake Regional Hospital recommended this facility for my mother for continued care after being on a ventilator and having a pacemaker put in. She was in the hospital for 2 weeks and then in this facility for 3 weeks. I met with the assistant admitting director. I toured the facility was told all these promises and read the reviews. I know there were some bad but the good ones were good. Well, all that glitters is not gold. Nothing that was promised happened, nurses and CNA's repeatedly left her calls unanswered. She was left in dirty diapers, fed nasty food, the room was only cleaned once in a 3 week period and not very well. I did just about everything for her myself including changing her sheets, her diapers, etc.... I brought my concerns to the appropriate staff multiple times and nothing ever got resolved. I WARN "DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONE HERE" PLEASE!!! My mom has been home since Friday and she is happier and doing much better than the whole time she was in this facility.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Vernelle has been absolutely wonderful during my mother’s rehabilitation. Her kindness has truly made a difficult situation more manageable. It’s tough knowing my mom wants to be home but can’t yet due to her medical needs, and I’m so appreciative of the support, patience, and compassion Vernelle shows consistently. Thank you for making this journey a little lighter for our family.
