Chop House burgers are a little dry and not of the highest quality. They are prepared quickly, but in a city with a ton of excellent burger spots, this won't make the cut as a repeat visit. The fries and shake are also quite average.
We ordered the chop house burger, some spicy chicken sandwich (forgot the name), and the truffle fries. The burger and the fries were very good! The chicken sandwich was spicy in a unique way that I personally didn't like the best, and it was too much sauce for me.
I really wanted to like this place. The photos of the pictures online were amazing but the food just okay (for $30 bucks) and the service was horrible. The back where they cooked the burger was nasty and the lady on the fries literally kept on the same gloves after touching everything in the back of the restaurant. Not to mention that I waited for about 30 minutes of a cold burger and truffle fries that were so cold the truffle didn’t melt! This was my first time visiting and I would never go back!
Wow. Our children don't eat burgers, so when we go out alone we often choose to try a new burger place. We chose chop house based on photos and reviews. I'm a sucker for a Parmesan truffle fry, so once I saw a photo of those in the reviews, I was sold. We went on a Friday night around 530. It was almost empty. Very clean. The woman at the register greeted us and was very kind and friendly. We each had a burger and fries. I got the bacon cheeseburger with Parmesan fries and my husband got the chop house burger with cheese and sweet potato fries. Everything was delicious! I don't know what their burger sauce is, but definitely eat the burger as it comes. Definitely would eat here again.
Had a great meal at the Chop House on Main Street, downtown Dallas. My wife had the Patty Melt and fries and I had the Bob Marley (pic shown) with fried pickles. The Bob Marley is jerk chicken, lettuce, onion, mango salsa, lime aioli, pepper jack cheese, brioche bun. We were both REALLY satisfied with our meals.. The place was clean and tidy. Good job, Chop House!
