Preston was excellent…clearly well trained and truly understands standout customer service. This is quickly becoming my favorite restaurant near YYZ. The lounge side is the place to be. Steak bites and shrimp apps are on point. Tonight I kept it simple with the shrimp app and a goat cheese salad topped with salmon…perfect. Scotch & Spice remains my go-to drink. Consistently delicious. Thanks.
Our family of five had an amazing first visit to Chop Steakhouse & Bar and we’ll absolutely be back. We started with the Birria Spring Rolls—braised beef with cilantro lime crema and a rich adobo broth for dipping—an incredible appetizer and a must-try. For mains, two of us enjoyed the Chop Burger (100% Canadian fresh ground chuck & brisket, crispy bacon, aged white cheddar, and pickled red onions on a toasted brioche bun), one with French fries and one with a Caesar salad. Another had the ½ rack of Baby Back Ribs, perfectly glazed and served with fries and seasonal vegetables. I ordered the 7oz Top Sirloin rare, cooked exactly to temperature, and our youngest loved the chicken wings with fries. A BIG shout-out to our server, Preston, who kept everything running smoothly despite the restaurant being absolutely slammed on a busy Friday night. She was attentive, professional, and on top of every detail. One of the managers also surprised us with a complimentary Tuna Tartare amuse bouche, which was divine and such a thoughtful touch for our first visit. The front-of-house team maintained excellent awareness and ensured every guest was well taken care of, and kudos to the kitchen, chefs, and staff—every dish was spot-on. Highly recommend Chop Steakhouse & Bar for a fantastic dining experience. Bravo!
After landing in Toronto, my family wanted a simple but great tasting meal. Chop exceeded in every possible way: The food is magnificent and was delivered extremely efficiently, our drinks were mixed perfectly, and the whole experience was very comfortable. If I am ever in Toronto again, I will be coming back. 6/5 stars!!! Wish I could add more photos but it was so good I couldn't wait lol Preston was our server, she was fantastic and made sure everything went smoothly. Give her a raise!
Chop is a true modern steakhouse that gets the little things right. First, you have both a dining room and lounge area, providing a clean distinction for two different vibes that both fit equally well for the food they are offering. Next, they have a wide variety of delicious appetizers that are well portioned and delicious. The goat cheese was a sneaky top pick of the ones we tried. Most importantly, their meat: the quality of the steak was fantastic, and their seasoning really elevated the entire meal. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the service was amazing. Honestly i have no notes, I had a spectacular meal and left very full. Come here if you need a filling steak meal and you will not be disappointed.

Ms. Kia welcomed our group with such warmth and grace, it was as if we were returning regulars—a gesture that set the tone for the evening. Our server, Preston, exemplified excellence. Her command of the menu was impressive, and she anticipated our needs with quiet precision, striking that rare balance between attentiveness and discretion. The cuisine lived up to the ambiance. My filet and lobster tail were expertly prepared—each bite reflecting care in execution and respect for the ingredients. The flavors were clean, the textures spot-on, and the plating understated yet elegant. To close, I indulged in the sticky toffee sundae. While not the evening’s standout, it offered a satisfying finish with its rich sweetness and subtle warmth. This establishment has certainly earned a place on my shortlist for future visits. When business next brings me to Toronto, I’ll be returning—not just for the food, but for the hospitality that made the evening truly memorable. Verdict: A refined experience worth revisiting. Job well done.
