If you advertise you are open until 2pm on Christmas eve on the sign on the door, Facebook and your website then don't lock your door at 1:30 and refuse to let people in. Myself and 3 other customers were trying to get in while others were shopping in the store at 1:40pm. The sign taped to the window said they closed at 2pm. Unfortunately, we drive 30 minutes to get here and we're turned away with 3 other customers. If you wanted to close at 1:30, that's what you should have posted. I'm a very very frustrated loyal customer.
We enjoyed our visit here! There are tons of holiday decor and gifts of all kinds. We especially found their section of soaps to be intriguing. However, most of this decor looks best in their displays. When isolating almost any given piece, we decided it really wasn't for us. Not only this, but their prices are a little high. While we did enjoy our time here, I have to say Christopher's is overrated considering the near-euphoric reviews I've seen people leave for this store (some saying its the most beautiful store they've ever been in). Maybe they go all out at Christmas? Idk. While it was beautiful, it barely breaks the top 10 when you consider places like Kringles in Branson or April's on Mainstreet. All that said, come out and visit them!
Great spot to pick a gift or two. Staff are super nice, helpful, and friendly.
Christopher's Gift Shop is one of my absolute favorite locally-owned gift shops to purchase personal gifts, company gifts, and even clothing and jewelry - I have been shopping there for years. The owner Mark is a master with his selections of merchandise, always keeping the store clean and updated with the latest and greatest items. Being a locally-owned small business, Mark is very conscious of supporting local and giving back to his community. He recently hired my company, Saint Louis Closet Co., to install shelving, cabinets, ornament storage, and a clothing boutique. This was a perfect partnership for both of us, allowing his merchandise to be displayed beautifully and for my custom cabinetry to be high-lighted in such a beautiful way. I highly recommend this store for all your shopping and gifting needs, they carry men's and women's clothing, purses and accessories, baby gifts, kitchen accessories, frames, jewelry, greeting cards, and their seasonal merchandise is out of this world!! They have an amazing rewards program and their staff is always friendly and helpful.
Stopped here in my hunt for some home decor. Such a beautiful gift store in downtown Kirkwood across the street from the Farmer’s Market on E. Argonne. This boutique has something for everyone!
