Ashley has cleaned my apartment a number of times and I can’t say enough good things about her. Not only is she incredibly thorough and meticulous with her cleaning, she is also always so kind when she comes. Highly recommend!
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend CHM. I really wanted to love the company based on all the rave reviews including local KC influencers as well as the charitable work they do, and I’m sure they do great work for some clients, however my “deep clean”was less than desirable. Life is busy with working full time and young kids. My mom also lives with us part time so I was really looking forward to a deep clean to take some stuff off my plate, especially around the holidays. CHM provided me with a quote of roughly $660 for a deep clean (more before a discount) so I assumed I’d get my money’s worth, but there were multiple check list items that were not completed or only partially complete. My house was in pretty could shape since my family has lived in the house for 3 months and we haven’t even fully unpacked, plus I did a deep clean before moving in. Some issues: The front of my ovens were not wiped, trash was not collected in my son’s room, vents were not dusted, light fixtures were not cleaned, bookshelves were not dusted, front of a bathroom vanity was not wiped down, among other things. I asked that they clean the oven, and that was not done. Granted, this request was made after I initially declined the oven cleaning but Thanksgiving had passed and I decided it should be done. Another frustration came with the hardwood floor cleaning. The majority of my flooring is hardwood. Weeks prior to the clean, I asked if they could use the flooring company’s floor cleaner since we had our hardwood floors refinished. I sent pictures of the product, as requested, and was told it was approved and they could use it. On the day of the clean, I got a few calls while working saying they didn’t have anything to measure or use the cleaner, specifically an empty spray bottle. I gave permission for them to get a bucket from the garage, fill with warm water, and add a splash of cleaner since it’s a concentrate, which is how I do it. Despite those instructions, I was told they can either use their floor cleaner or wash with just warm water. I chose the warm water since the flooring company said to not use the cleaners CHM uses. Obviously warm water alone did not actually clean the floors. I emailed the email address on their website the evening of the deep clean with the issues. I did not receive a response and was billed the following day. When I responded to the billing email about my concerns, I was then told there was a 24-hour guarantee and they could send someone back out. I was also told they do not regularly monitor the email address that I emailed so they did not see my email. And I was not made aware of the 24 hour guarantee when I scheduled the clean so I had already cleaned most of what was not cleaned. It’s an unsettling feeling knowing multiple techs were in my home with so many tasks left undone that I did not feel comfortable with them coming back while I was working. Because of all the issues, I requested a partial refund and was told they cannot offer “discounts.” The company again offered to send a tech back out or provide a free oven or free fridge clean. I did not feel that those offers were a fair resolution given the cost and what was left undone. As mentioned above, I’m sure this company does great work but I did not receive that great work. I was also looking forward to some blankets or toilet paper shaped into little hearts (as was my daughter), but we did not get that service.
I started using Clean Heart Maids when I moved to my new house over the summer and I have been so impressed by The quality of work and the amount of professionalism that the cleaners have and the organization in the communication from the office. Clean house day is one of my favorite days and I’m so Happy to have found Clean Heart Maids
