Commonwealth Hand Therapy is a great place to recover from an orthopedic injury. I suffered a fractured radius after I took a bad fall. The staff and therapists at CHT have been welcoming and very focused on improving my range of motion. I am impressed with the knowledge and skills of all the therapists, as they work with many different injuries and conditions, and support each other. It can be very busy at times, but runs smoothly. I appreciate that Dr Pitts checked on my injury and gave me a referral for an outstanding hand surgeon for other finger issues. The environment is very active and positive. I highly recommend them.
Always carrying and ready to go the extra mile. I am very happy to FINALLY find a team that understands that true rehab requires work from both sides! Go CHPT!!!!!
Commonwealth Hand and Physical Therapy is a fantastic place dedicated to its clients' progress and well-being. This practice functions as a team, where each member's efforts are directed toward a common goal: their clients' recovery. I have never experienced such an incredible unity of effort for the betterment of patients. The physical therapists and their assistants go above and beyond while designing and implementing various tools to help their clients. Every single person in this office works for your betterment. A great sense of humor, friendly faces, good jokes, and a welcoming atmosphere help patients overcome the pain and pressure associated with serious medical conditions. It is, without a doubt, the best place in Lexington to seek help!
I was with my physical therapy coordinator at the hospital and they called inquiring about my insurance to Commonwealth Hand. They said they did take my insurance and she scheduled me. I paid initially thinking that it was an intake fee, then on my second appointment I had to pay yet again so when I came for my third appointment I checked and my insurance wasn't billed. When I asked why they said they didn't take my insurance (again I was standing there when the coordinator called and directly asked if they took my insurance and then faxed over my order). Sarah, my PT, was wonderful and I was heartbroken to have to leave but I already pay for insurance and it's silly to not utilize what I already pay for. That said if you do go here ask for Sarah, she's wonderful and helped me a lot!
I am working with an excellent therapist who was able to figure out how to help my sore shoulder. I want to get better and am willing to work for it, and she is supporting me in that. The office is busy: a lot of people in a small space, but the staff are friendly.
