I visited this store today and was appalled by the customer experience. Between having to ask for assistance after passing by two customer service people and then being handed to an in-store designer who lacked customer awareness, I will never spend money in this store. My goal was to see and touch a couch I was ready to buy today however, I was discouraged based on the designer's personal preference on how furniture should be placed in my home. Its very strange to seek design help for something so personal but not be asked about preferences including likes, and dislikes. It's even more strange to seek design help and the designer express a customer's want as "awful." As someone who designs global consumer experiences, I do hope Crate & Barrel invest in equipping their store associates with the basics on good customer service with a heavy emphasis on one of their corporate core values - customer focus.
The online shopping experience is poor from crate and barrell. I ordered a good twice now, my card was charged the order was never then confirmed from their end, yet my card was charged. This happened twice. Ive had to call them and be on phone for 30 minutes the first time to get this resolved. The second time my card was charged again, despite the order not confirmed. I now have to manually go to the store to buy this as this is a gift item for someone... otherwise would not buy here.
I had an appointment with a designer at my place. The experience was very pleasant, and I thought we had agreed on the design I wanted, but I never received the renderings. I was willing to work with designer, but the customer service/follow-up was terrible, and I still haven't received the renderings or follow up even after discussing with manager. I am quite disappointed with this store's customer service
Absolutely love this location. Everyone who worked there was wonderful, but Ernest was particularly amazing. He helped me and my mom immensely as we were searching for items for my new apartment. He truly went above and beyond by offering tailored advice, helping us make difficult choices, and packaging our items perfectly. He also kindly walked us out to the car with our items. Beyond providing help with our shopping, he was also an incredibly kind and thoughtful person - it was so nice to get to know him, and I will absolutely be returning to this location because of my experience working with someone as special as Ernest!
