I was visiting Richmond for a day trip. I called very last minute once my prior day care plans for my 6 month pup fell through. They were able to take my baby in and he very visibly had a blast! If I am ever in town with Simba again, I would go to them again.
I love Crate Escape Resorts. All the dogs are small dogs which makes me less concerned about her being bullied and intimidated. Kai is a very playful Poochoon and she is in the best of care with the staff at Crate Escape Resort.
I highly recommend. They really understand small dogs and provide fun loving care. My dog was reactive at other places but he does great at Crate Escape. I also feel good to see the same staff every visit. Other places seem to have a lot of turnover so its nice to see familiar faces.
We absolutely love Crate Escape Resort—and more importantly, so do our dogs! We use them regularly for almost three years for daycare, boarding, and grooming. It’s been a lifesaver for our family. My wife is a night nurse, and having a place where our dogs are happy, safe, and well cared for allows her to get the rest she needs on her workdays. From the owner to the staff to the groomers, everyone at Crate Escape treats our dogs like their own. Their communication is exceptional—we always feel informed and supported. Whether it’s a quick update via text or a phone call to check in, they’re always responsive and kind. When we ask for updates, they’re happy to share how the pups are doing throughout the day. They go above and beyond with fun activities like a play pool, art projects, and adorable seasonal or holiday-themed photos. It’s clear how much thought and love goes into every part of their care. Even our shy, anxious guy—who typically takes a long time to warm up—has completely come out of his shell here. The staff’s patience and gentleness make a world of difference. The best part? Our dogs get so excited when we say, “Do you want to go to school?” That joy says it all. We’re incredibly grateful for the team at Crate Escape and can’t recommend them enough.
Crate Escape is a wonderful place to take your little dogs! The resort is extra secure and the staff is always incredibly friendly. They also go above and beyond with special offers and events for pets. I love when they have themed photo booths for the pups to be the star. The rooms and outdoor play area are all very clean and comfortable. I will be trying the grooming services soon because I have heard many great things from other small dog mamas!
