Had a great time here at this hidden gem. Very low key vibes. They had a great DJ who was playing all the jams. Great drinks. Lots of fun.
We always go to Dad's Karaoke for friend and family get-togethers! It's always a blast in a warm, cozy setting. I love their bookcase and seasonal decor! It can get pretty crowded on occasion, and the wait time to sing can be quite long, but it's so much fun!
I have to say this place has gone downhill. I use to love this place. Parking has gotten worse. People there are not friendly especially if are coming for a good time. The DJ'S are rude. If you see a guy there don't bother. Or honestly don't go for a good time. Its overly crowded. And the drinks are expensive and not even that great. I got mostly ice and soda...I usually give out great reviews. But this place is not what it use to be.
If you are reading this because you are considering visiting this establishment, I urge you to first check the negative reviews. You will not find run of the mill complaints. This place is run by goons who may physically assault you for standing in the “wrong” place, or may allow a regular customer to physically assault you, or may steal your money, or may overcharge you, or may allow you to first buy an expensive drink, then kick you out for no reason before you can drink it, etc. They make a ton of money and invest none of it into the business, so it is incredibly dirty and rundown, including the very core of the business, which is the sound system at a karaoke bar. If you do go, besides all the other warnings provided below, also be aware that you may not be able to use the bathroom when you need to. The bathrooms are tiny and in the women’s there are only two seats, which is not adequate when the bar is packed full of people who are consistently filling their bladders to capacity. As I said, the place is disgustingly rundown and way overdue for a deep clean and renovations. Everything is old, it smells gross, the restrooms are tiny, and the sound system as well as the acoustics are terrible. The last time I was in there, it was not very busy, maybe 25 customers. It took forever to get a turn to sing. A customer put their hands on me to move me out of the way while I was trying to tell the DJ my song choice. The DJ apologized to me, but said nothing to the very large man who manhandled me, informing me that the man was a regular. Apparently his regular business is more important than the right of women patrons to not be physically assaulted. I was there for a few hours, and at no time did I have any fun. I love karaoke, and I’m pretty laid back. I used to be a bartender at a karaoke bar, in fact, so my standards are not unreasonable. This place is terrible. Avoid.
It was really nice to karaoke, the DJ guy was friendly, even the ladies serving the drinks. I got 1 tall beer and it cost me $8.11 which i thought was pricy. I tipped a buck which is normal for me. When I got my adjusted charge the next day. It showed the beer was actually $7.11... kinda fishy, I would have liked it to be $7.11 last night. For that reason I don't think I'll return, not if I'm paying, while they trick people out of their money.
