We went here on a Friday night at 7pm and waited roughly 1hr 15mins for a table of 2. Ordered the Regular size premium Kalbijjim and it was amazing! The portion was huge and they do not skimp out on the beef. We love that there was also stewed radish, potato, carrot and rice cakes inside. The flavour was delicious and very much worth the wait! The banchan was good and free refill. Kimchi, radish not too spicy or salty. Service was fast and efficient give how busy they were.
Delicious galbijjim with a modern twist and some showmanship. I always bring visitors here as it’s a great spot to have a family style meal. The galbijjim is delicious, keeping true to the classic dish while adding melted cheese on top for richness and a fire torch show for your IG story post. The banchans are good, and the other dishes are good too, but get the galbijjim to share between 2-4 people. It’s not the cheapest though so expect to spend $50 per person and potentially a wait during busy hours.
I know this might not be the most authentic Galbijjim, but it just tastes so good! It’s more of an LA-style version than a traditional Korean one, but it’s a great fusion that you can’t stop eating. The beef is incredibly tender, and the spice level is perfect. It’s a bit on the sweet side for my taste, but still totally enjoyable!
2025: One of the best meals we had on our trip here. Service is flawless, dishes are absolutely delicious and packed with flavour. The Kalbijim / braised ribs is a massive dish that probably feeds four, sadly we didn't even come close to finishing it. Everything in it is so tender and resonates with the feeling of a home cooked meal. Hot tip, don't load up on the entree dishes first. *****
Hands down best kalbijjim from a restaurant and I crave it from time to time. This second time we got the premium kalbijjim (large, mild, cheese) and it was intense, flavorful, unbelievably good. The short rib meat was so tender. Each bite was bursting with flavor. Whenever we come back to SF, we will come once again!
