I can’t thank the Day of Pittsburgh team enough for helping to make our wedding better than we ever imagined. Heather and her team are incredible! We met with Heather a year ago to make sure we were on track and start our timeline. Closer to our wedding, we met with Jess who helped coordinate a meeting at our venue and met with us multiple times virtually. She helped make sure every detail was perfect, from set up to vendor communication I truly could not have don’t it without her. Jess and Monica set up all of my DIYs including signs, menus, Photo Booth props, and even my champagne tower! My goal was for everything to go smoothly without my family or I having to worry about the details of the day, and Jess made that possible. Jess even helped my husband coordinate surprising me with our dog showing up for photos! I can’t recommend Day of Pittsburgh enough ❤️
If you are a Pittsburgh bride who "has it mostly all together" but you're not sure if you'll need some extra hands to help with nailing your DIY vision. Or if you are on the fence, because your reception venue has a "built in coordinator already". OR if you just want someone to have eyes on the bigger picture while you're trying to enjoy the wedding planning process - I'll be the first to tell you... if you're going to have anyone there, you NEED TO have Day of Pittsburgh! It should come as no surprise, we (actually my mother-in-law and I) found @dayofpgh via Instagram. It wasn't until after seeing all their Instagram content did I then discover they are vetted by the Pittsburgh wedding blog/content library BurghBrides. Shortly after, we met with Heather (CEO and our lead planner) over Zoom, and she answered all of our questions before sending us a contract and invoice. After saying yes and signing on, we got right to the kickoff! On the kickoff meeting, we established where we were at with our other vendors, shared our contracts, and drafted our timeline up. This was a huge help for us to stay organized with our DIY projects and coordinate our timeline with our other vendors. In between the kickoff and wedding day, we were able to email back and forth with Heather anytime we needed to, and always heard back quickly! One thing that really stood out to us was our experience with our rehearsal dinner. We were struggling to find a venue that 1. Was big enough for our friends and family, 2. Was close enough to the reception venue and hotels, and 3. Had an actual dinner menu. Our rehearsal dinner venue was recommended to us by Heather and needless to say, it was PERFECT! What stood out to us the most was how Heather handled our “not-so-little” change of plans with our ceremony. Unfortunately, we found out on the day of the rehearsal that we needed someone to quite literally coordinate all the events leading up until the processional. There was no way the departure and arrival of the guest shuttles, or the first touch we had planned, and even down to the timing of the processional could have happened without Heather being there to just simply Make. It. Happen. And needless to say, we were so happy to have had her there! Alongside Heather, was Juli, our assistant planner. She made sure all the little details that we're so important to us came to life. She was so sweet, and was such a help with setting up our cookie table odds and ends and perfecting our table scapes. My husband and I were so lucky to be able to work with Heather for the months leading up to and on our wedding day. She is truly a master of all wedding chaos and can handle all BS with grace. More importantly, she is a delight, and our family and friends still rave about her! TLDR: Heather Davis, CEO and Lead Planner is the real deal. The Day of PGH package is worth every penny. When I started hiring vendors for my wedding, one of the first things I sought out was booking with DoP, and I am so glad that I did. From my very first meeting with the owner, Heather (we instantly got along, and she is so personable!) to working with our head planner Jess, I felt so comfortable, welcome, and empowered to plan my dream wedding with no worries about the day-of execution. I cannot say enough wonderful things about working with them. Myself, my husband, and many of our other family members kept saying over and over again how the day could not have run as smoothly as it did without them! They were so easy to get in touch with whenever I had any questions and concerns, and I definitely felt like they were on my team throughout the whole process. When we got paired with Jess for our wedding day, I could tell from our first meeting that she genuinely cared so much about how everything went. She was just as excited as me and had so many great ideas about different logistics that I wouldn't have ever considered. I really felt like every single detail was sorted out ahead of time. Her attention to detail was absolutely above and beyond! The venue looked beautiful, and completely blew me out of the water. On top of that, the day-of timeline was flawless, and we actually ran ahead of schedule all day which made everything so stress free! Day of Pittsburgh was one of the best choices we made. We were relaxed, happy, and able to spend all of our energy that day focused on each other. I would recommend hiring Day of to anyone who asked.
Like every single review here, I cannot say enough good things about Heather and her team. Heather was our lead planner for our wedding on 1/14/23 at the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh, with her assistant Samantha. As a person who has planned events professionally, I knew that I had a specific vision for my wedding, and could handle all of the planning. About a year before our wedding, and after just about all of our vendors had been booked, we decided that we should hire a day-of coordinator, because I really just needed someone to take my binder of info and run with it on our big day, so I could focus on being in the moment. We reached out to Day of Pittsburgh, and from the moment we had our initial call with Heather, I felt that she totally understood our vision and the amount of hands on help we needed. The team was there for any questions we had through our planning, and with perfectly timed helpful tips and guides along the way. Heather has the planning process down to a science, and her schedule for check in meetings and venue walkthroughs before the big day was super helpful. I was able to hand off my binder and know that everything would be taken care of. Flash forward to the day of our wedding - as a person who is typically very hands on, and as a bride with high anxiety, I never thought that I would feel so at ease handing my wedding off to someone else. But Heather and her team were so knowledgeable and on it that I didn't even have a second thought about whether the decor was going to be set right or if things were running on time. As soon as we arrived at the venue, Heather was there to greet us and get the show on the road. I felt comfortable directing questions to her and her assistant, and I lost track of how many times I said "ask Heather!" or "Heather can handle it!". When so many people have questions or need your attention on your wedding day, it is so nice to have someone running the show so that you don't have to be thinking ahead or keeping an eye on the clock to make sure everything is on track. Heather and team also made sure that we had moments to ourselves throughout the day, for me and my husband to be in the moment together. Hiring Day of Pittsburgh was the by far the best money that we spent on our wedding. I truly felt in the moment and in my bride era because of their help, guidance, and true excitement to be celebrating our day with us. If you are looking for a coordinator and haven't hired them yet, what are you waiting for?? Get these girls on your vendor team ASAP.
I cannot recommend Heather and the Day of Pittsburgh team enough for wedding day of coordination!!! Hands down THE best decision we made in all of wedding planning. Having Heather in our corner leading up to the big day helped relieve the stress and anxiety around making sure all of the details were executed smoothly. We knew she had it covered! Her attention to detail, professionalism, and fun as heck personality made working with her truly awesome. My husband and I, as well as our families, were able to be totally present and enjoy every second of our wedding day because we knew Heather and her team were handling everything. We even had a pretty dramatic wardrobe malfunction, but Heather jumped in and handled it like the magician that she is. While she was a boss at coordinating our day, Heather was much more than that. She was our hype woman, friend, and therapist when we needed it! If you are considering booking Day of Pittsburgh, just do it. You will NOT regret it. Thank you Day of Pittsburgh ❤️❤️
