Expertly curated, with a wide range of genres. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. One caveat: if you notice snacks on the table, do not attempt to eat them. As realistic as they may appear, they could be artistic renderings. No joke, it happened to me, and I chipped a tooth! There was no indication that the nuts were not edible. I'm not referring to the framed banana. It's on the wall, not on the coffee table. Nothing except it and the bowl of nuts could be mistaken for food. All the rest is a feast for the eyes.
This is a small gallery featuring contemporary art. This was my third visit I think and my first since the name changed. It’s conveniently located in the Glebe. I went to see the new exhibit by Norman Takeuchi. It was interesting though I prefer his earlier work where his cultural influences are highlighted. The young woman working in the gallery when I visited was very friendly and knowledgeable. I look forward to seeing more exhibitions there.
As a collector ( buyer may be a better term)of art for most of my life it was such a pleasure to discover Studio 66 . It was like opening a treasure trove of delights and made me wish for more walls in my home . This gallery has put together a wonderful selection of Canadian and local artists - some already famous and some sure to become acclaimed. Carrie the owner has a keen eye and a deep understanding of her artists providing great insight into the art and the techniques used. Her staff is delightful and accommodating. There is something of every taste and price point. Bravo.! My Dave Heath photo waiting for a wall to open up!
El estudio es un gran espacio para ver y comprar arte local. Son muy solidarios con los artistas nuevos y tienen un espacio realmente limpio. Está en el Glebe, aunque la entrada del edificio no es accesible. Una vez dentro, hay un ascensor y el estudio puede ser accedido por alguien con un dispositivo de movilidad.
Hermosa galería de arte, ubicada en la mejor zona de bank street. El espacio es agradable, con varias obras de arte diferentes en exhibición. La directora de la galería de arte es súper amable y simpática. Ella te ayuda si estás interesado en comprar una obra de arte. Incluso ofrecen enmarcar la obra (si te interesa) y entregarla a tu domicilio (si te interesa). ¡Qué lugar tan encantador para visitar!
