I used to play Diablo Hills when my son was first starting to play golf. I had not played it in over 20 years. The starter in the office was very warm and friendly. I was very impressed with the practice green which was installed during the intervening years since I played. My suggestion is that the management should consider installing a practice net and mat so players could warm up their full swing before going out on the golf course. I was pleased with the condition of the golf course and the speed of the greens - about a 9 on the stimp meter. The greens are well maintained. Pace of play is a bit slow, at least on a Monday morning. The Greenery Restaurant was very good and a nice way to cap off the end of the round.
What a wonderful course. It's well maintained, (even more than some 18 hole courses I've played). The greens actually had some challenge with breaks, undulations, and the like. You have an 80 yard downhill par 3, to an uphill par 5 (I think it's over 400 yards). Beautiful clubhouse. I highly recommend this course for people who want to play 9 holes and also looking for a challenge.
This is a great little executive course! My golf journey is only 4-5 years in the making now. But I love this course and the people who run it! They are courteous and helpful and the course is well maintained! Thank you Diablo hills!
An easy 4-star (out of 5), Diablo Hills is just an amazing course to play in !!! First of all, all the holes' condition are on point, even though not too much challenging design, but the layout and the landscape serve the same purpose. Like Hole 8 particularly, there's stones laying on the left side of the fairway, kind of the gardening type of thing, which shall enrich the playfulness of this hole.
Best executive (9 hole) golf course on east bay, with five par 4's and one par 5. Excellent green and bunker conditions truly remarkable! Mt. Diablo view on couple holes but every hole a treat to the 👀. Interesting layout but not overly demanding for you to go low here. Mix of wide and narrow fairways with lots protections around the green. If you have time do double nines from different tees. If you don't just do one loop. You will be delighted either way. Little pro shop with nice ppl and huge selection of golf balls. Book online to save time! Full svcs bar and restaurant with prime rib every Friday.
