We went to many furniture stores all over Raleigh and this store had the best selection and prices on couches. Kathryn was so nice and helpful in every step of the process & we would definitely recommend for any furniture needs. I emailed her several times with a few questions I had and she was always very quick to respond.
They have repeatedly lied to us and dismissed us, and we still don't have any of our items over a month later. They won't answer their phone. Voicemail box has been full for weeks. They won't give us a delivery date and keep saying "it'll be delivered next week" for the past few weeks. You can get the same exact furniture at Ashley’s Furniture for the same price. Ashley's will price match and deliver for free within 2-3 days. This Discount Furniture charges $129 for delivery, it will take months, and they are not honest people. They also make it seem like it's a good price, but it's not. Read the exact specifications of what they're selling you and then go to Ashley's Furniture to compare. On September 14, we ordered a bed, mattress, and box spring in the store. We need this asap and we were promised delivery in 2 weeks. After we paid, we were handed a receipt that stated "ETA 2-4 weeks". We brought up our concern about the timeframe and were told that it was just for unforseen delays. The receipt also stated "All sales are final. No refunds." which was never communicated to us before we paid. On October 4, we visited the store and spoke to a woman at the desk. We said it’s been 3 weeks. She insisted we had only been waiting 2 weeks and also said it would be delivered to the store on Monday, October 13, so it "would still be within the 2-4 week period". We told her this was all incorrect and she continued to gaslight us. She said it would arrive to the store on Monday and she would text us the delivery date that day. She obviously knew they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays so this was another lie. After numerous unanswered calls on Oct 12, we emailed them on Oct 13. They responded two days later and ignored our concerns. They said it will arrive next week. We keep being told it will be “next week”. This is unacceptable and it is already weeks late. They are still not in possession of the items. They literally order it from Ashley's Furniture and they seem to have no control when the items are shipped to their store even though they act very confident on the date it'll arrive in store. Please don't waste your time, money, and sanity on this place! EDIT on 10/23/25: They refuse to respond to us. It's been 8 days since they last responded to our email. The last thing they said was it would be delivered next week and they ignored everything else we said. They refuse to refund us or give us what we paid for. And now they won't even respond! They are scammers! If this happens to you: Dispute the charge with your credit card company. Submit a complaint to the BBB and AG Jeff Jackson’s office. Write online reviews. And shop somewhere else!
We ordered a queen mattress, boxspring, and bed frame but still have not received them weeks past the stated delivery date. After asking them multiple times for updates, they say the items will arrive next week. We’ve been told “next week” for several weeks now. We paid $1,300 and it’s been 32 days. We have been sleeping on the floor and need a bed. The whole situation and dealing with them has been incredibly frustrating. Don’t make the same mistake we did. Buy your furniture elsewhere.
