Had to give this place a great review. The person helping me was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and also aware of a certain price point and wasn't trying to point me in the direction of overly expensive bottles. I was able to get out of there with two nice bottles of white for under $60. This is a great place especially if you're looking for more unique wines, and tired of the regular grocery store chains.
Great store with even better people. Huge thanks to the kind folks working. Stopped in a few days ago while on a work trip. No room in the luggage to make a purchase but they went above and beyond to give me SF recommendations and talk bourbon. It was clear they were all passionate about their selection and their city. I can’t thank them enough for the kindness they showed me!
My favorite liquor store of all time. They have a very thoughtful selection of various wines and distilled spirits. My household has been very happily part of their Armagnac, Scotch, and champagne clubs, receiving wonderful surprises every few months. Way back in 1999, when I didn't have much disposable cash, I went into the store to splurge and buy a nice bottle of Scotch. My budget was $80. The shop keep suggested I stretch my budget by a bit, and get a $90 bottle from a distillery known as Port Ellen. I was told the spirit was truly delicious. The distillery was shut down, and so bottles were only going to become rarer and rarer. That weekend, I opened the bottle and it was amazing. I returned to the shop, hoping to get another bottle, but they were sold out. Port Ellen whiskies, when you could find them, would soon go for over $1K, but I still remember that awesome $90 bottle back in 1999.
My local destination when I need bubbles or a special occasion beverage. The team is so welcoming, friendly, and patient. Each and every recommendation has been well received!
Great selection, especially for whiskey. I joined the American Whiskey club where every 3 months they find a bottle of whiskey for you. You pay a discounted price for the bottle and it's always less than $100 + tax. they always have great selections. Staff is extremely knowledgeable and can help you find a bottle for yourself or a loved one.
