It’s saddens me to be writing this sort of review. I started taking my two great Danes to Dogtopia when they first opened 10 years ago and they were great even after my dogs got older and stopped going. I’ve always recommended Dogtopia to everyone when they’ve asked for a place that I thought was safe For their dogs. It had been a few years since I had been back because I didn’t have Dogs, but then I got another. Great Dane and I started taking her 16 months ago my My dog mind you still is only two years old and if anybody knew the breed they would understand that Great Dane are still pretty rambunctious until they are three years old or older. I feel that I was blindsided the last time I had my dog there boarding and at day camp I have asked every single time she has been there for day camp, which is two days a week. How was my dog and I’ve always gotten a response. She did great. She played a lot and with the dogs that she played with, never have, I heard that she was a problem or that she was a lot to deal with until I was blindsided by Sherri the owner who By the way, I’m sure you have read all of the reviews on her and I can tell you they are all true! She came at me and told me that my dog had turned and attacked another dog. I asked for the cameras she wouldn’t tell me, but I did find out the next day that the other dog had attacked my dog first before my dog turned around and of course, being the larger of the two dogs, my dog did more damage. I offered to pay for it. She told me not to worry about it, but she told me that my dog was not to come back for the next week. I went the following day to pick up something that was missed of hers when I picked her up the day before I talked to Alex who I thought was very knowledgeable, but she seemed very coached knowing I was going to be coming in and I asked about my dog and they came up with all of these instances I have never heard of any of them in the entire time that she has been there And I feel that they were not paying attention and this was the scapegoat. So good luck if you decide to take your dog there if Sheri ever answers the phone and she’s not condescending and rude and blames everything on you beware!
Great place for doggie day care. They let them roam around inside and out. Addendum: unfortunately the first time we boarded our pup, he apparently acted out at the end of his stay, and we were not allowed to go back. I understand with so many dogs roaming around, they cannot have any of the dogs act out, I guess it is their business model. 🤷🏻♂️
Great experience thus far. The meet and greet was amazing. Alex was very warm and welcoming. Gave me a great tour of the facility, making me feel at ease my dog is in a safe and fun place. All the staff I met so far have been great and informative. Definitely recommend.
Our pup Aspen has been coming to Dogtopia for just over a year and absolutely loves it. Pricing is great, everyone who works there truly cares about the dogs, and they’re treated so well. Aspen loves so many people at daycare it’s so cute watching her through the cameras and seeing how happy she is with her dog friends and people watching her. The online portal is super easy to use to book spa treatments and daycare options, but she’s set for twice a week and usually just goes on the same days. Sherry and her whole team are amazing. The negative reviews crack me up because Sherry is not rude, she’s straightforward, honest, and cares about the dogs. That’s all I could ever want in a dog daycare owner and she’s been so great in ensuring the dogs’ safety while there and truly cares for them. Thanks Sherry, and all of Dogtopia’s team for making sure Aspen is safe, happy, and exhausted when she comes home.
I love that it's family owned. I just met the owners yesterday during my pups orientation and I felt very welcomed. The owners positive energy and friendliness was very much appreciated. I really like their safety precautions for the dogs and us. I love that they have indoor and outdoor play areas and the ability to view the playrooms via webcam from home. My husband and I are hoping to be able to get back to traveling now that things are opening up again and I can't wait to see how Quincy does in their overnight stays. Today is Quincy's first day at dogtopia and I can't wait until he comes home happy, exercised, and socialized. I am super excited about Quincy becoming a part of dogtopia's family and having a safe and fun place where he feels loved and welcomed.
