Decent to good food depending on your preferences, great service (our server Karen was great!). If you like Tex-Mex this is a higher-end experience with regards to the presentation, atmosphere, and environment, but the food, the thing I’m here for was just not for me. Good for TexMex but this is just not my favorite cuisine.
This was our first time dining at El Charro, and it was such a great experience! The service was attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcome right away. Our food was excellent — full of flavor, fresh, and served hot and quickly. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. We’re already looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu. Highly recommend if you’re craving delicious Mexican food with wonderful service!
The Charro is delicious! We are creatures of habit, so my husband and I always order the “Parillada”, but have never had a bad dish! Authentic, very friendly staff, and have weekly specials. We have come as couple or a group of 25- the service and quality never diminish. Actually, we really like that they have great seating for big groups, especially when you bring kids, one of the few restaurants that makes big groups feasible. Would recommend anytime!
The absolute best Mexican food and drinks I’ve ever had! 10/10. Our server was excellent! Everything she recommended was divine! The salsa tasted so incredibly fresh. I will dream about that frozen mango margarita. And the chori pollo was *chef’s kiss* perfection! I’m looking forward to my next visit.
I do travel outside the state. It can be challenging to find a restaurant that offers quality food at reasonable prices. Some of the highly-rated restaurants and franchises do not meet expectations even at higher cost. Oh my goodness! 😍 This place! I really enjoyed my visit to El Charro! The food was fantastic; I especially loved the pork belly tacos and plan to order a dozen on my next visit. The spicy jalapeño crema was outstanding, as was the chipotle sauce. While the chips were good, I suggest adding more heat to the salsa dip. I understand some people may not be able to handle the spice, but that’s not a concern of mine. After all, a Mexican restaurant isn’t complete without this signature dip, which also has its own natural health benefits. I am thankful for both the food and the experience, and I look forward to returning.
