⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We visited El Puente Mexican Grill as two adults on what appeared to be a not-so-busy evening. We waited at the front to be seated and made sure we were clearly visible. A staff member nearby was on his cell phone and did see us, but there was no acknowledgment or response at first. I eventually called the restaurant from my phone, and the ringing at the front finally caught someone’s attention so we could be seated. Once that initial moment passed, the experience improved quite a bit. The food was very good, and the atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming. One small note on the red dipping sauce: it was a little too hot for my taste, with slightly too much black pepper, and it felt like it was missing one element to balance it out — still flavorful, just not quite there. Overall, El Puente has a lot going for it. With more attentive service from the start and throughout the meal, this would have easily been a 5-star experience. The food and ambiance were great — a bit more engagement from the waitstaff would make it perfect.
One of my favorite Mexican restaurants! Their frozen mango margarita is perfection, and their green chicken enchiladas are amazing.
Great food. Great portion. Our waitress was Elsy was on point. Kept our drinks filled and checked on us enough but not so much to make herself anying
Stayed in the area on the way down to OBX. This place was 5 mins from the hotel so decided to give it a try. It was great! Chips and white/red salsa were so of the best I ever had. The dinner positions were huge, delicious and fair priced. Definitely will be coming back.
Highly recommend El Puente for great food, tasty margaritas, laid back atmosphere and amazing service! We had Elsy as our server. She was polite, attentive and knowledgeable. The meals came out quickly and both the seafood chimichanga and the enchiladas were hot and delicious.
