I took my Kenwood KR-9400 receiver that I purchased new in 1976 to Electric City. Honest . Fair. Good communication. I am very happy with the results. I recommend Electric City Repair and I try to take a look at the showroom when I am in Denver.
It didnt come as a big suprise that the turntable I took in for repairs came back fixed, tuned up and sounding like a million bucks in the guestimated time provided. I've been in here numerous times, twice for turntable repairs, other times for records and (about 2 weeks ago) for a vintage cassette deck for my stereo. The people are cool/friendly, lots of neat stuff to look at and sometimes there's a rad hearse parked there.
About a year ago, I bought a reciever here for about $100. It's been going strong and was quite the upgrade from my old setup. Today I brought in some speaker wire, which they stripped for free! There is also a small clothing rack of handmade shirts with fun prints, mostly in larger sizes. We cleared out the rack the last time we shopped here. Very helpful and friendly staff- this is your place for all your audio needs.
So glad this place exists! Brought in my father in law’s 30+ year old turntable, which was not functioning well. Electric City repaired it beautifully and provided an amazing sheet of technical notes about all of the work they did for just $120. The notes helped me learn more about turntables, and my father in law is delighted to be listening to records he’s had for decades. Shops like this are precious, thank you Electric City!
The best. This is my go to place for repairs on my stereo and record player. Everyone here is kind, cool, and really knowledgeable. They are truly experts when it comes to vintage equipment and I’m so glad Electric City exists so I have a place for all my stereo needs. They just put a new cartridge on my turntable and it now literally sounds the best it’s ever sounded. I’ve had all my stereo components repaired and refurbished here and each time they have resolved whatever issue I’ve had and my whole system functions and sounds better. Thank you Eric and Missy!
