To prepare for my first hyrox competition I signed up for the introductory package at Elevate and attended two Hybrid Athlete classes with Rachel Miller who was absolutely amazing! I could not recommend this coach, this class, or this gym more! The class was definitely challenging, but Rachel was very supportive and offered great constructive feedback throughout to help prepare me for hyrox. The other class participants were also very supportive making it a great atmosphere for both new and experienced hybrid athletes. I would recommend this class to all of my friends and family and would love to return for more.
I have really been enjoying my classes at Elevate. I decided to try out the gym because I was interested in Hyrox. The Hybrid Athlete program is an ass-kicker and will certainly prepare you for it. In addition, they have a Power Athlete program if you want to focus on powerlifting and strength. Outside of the specialized programs, you can also take regular group classes. I’m excited to add this training to my repertoire and highly recommend checking them out.
The best gym in DC hands-down. All the coaches are amazing and have different approaches to fitness. The workouts are always challenging but accessible to all.

I’ve been taking the 6 a.m. strength class on Wednesdays, and it’s been fantastic! It’s truly a humbling experience — I’ve been a runner for more than 30 years, but these classes push me in completely new ways. I’m realizing how much I need to work on my strength, and I love it. The coach has been incredibly patient, always taking the time to walk me through the exercises. Highly recommended!
