I cannot say enough about Essential Details and Morgan, our planner! She made the wedding go flawlessly. About a month before the wedding we met and talked about the details and logistics of everything that we had not thought of before. Morgan took the stress off of us by contacting the vendors and creating a timeline down to the minute of how the wedding day would run. Morgan was not just an expert at creating a flawless plan for our special day, she also put us at ease as we probably asked her a million questions leading up the wedding. As someone who was stressed and worried about the small details, Morgan took care of it and let my entire family enjoy the day. We truly consider her family now! The saying goes "only you will know if something goes wrong" but truly everything went perfect and there were no hiccups along the planning process and wedding. We cannot recommend Essential Details enough for the passion, hard work, and dedication to making their couple have the most memorable wedding day!!
I cannot say enough good things about Essential Details and especially our planner, Morgan! She was an absolute sanity-saver during the entire planning process and on the wedding day. Morgan was the first vendor we hired, and she guided us through every step of the process. I joke that, if it wasn't for her, we would have quit planning and eloped one month in. She really got to know us as a couple, which helped us find the perfect vendors and design an absolutely jaw-dropping day. She even pivoted beautifully when our outdoor wedding was rained out! Our wedding day was completely stress-free and absolutely perfect. I also have to shout out Gretchen, who designed the most gorgeous invites and signage for our big day! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
I can’t begin to imagine planning my wedding without the team at Essential Details!! I live and work full time in Los Angeles and needed help planning a wedding in Louisville that fit my aesthetic, schedule, and budget. Essential Details was instrumental in making the 2 year planning and execution process as relaxing and approachable as possible for myself and my husband. By relying on their vendor recommendations and expertise, we got a wedding that exceeded every expectation! When I lived in Kentucky, I was familiar with Essential Details and had positive relationships with this woman-owned and women-led business. But working with them to plan my wedding was unlike anything I had done before. Their team understands the stresses and strains of planning a wedding, how COVID uncertainties add to that stress, and how to seamlessly transition from thinking big-picture to being detail-oriented. While prepping for potential rain and heat at the top of September, they still incorporated touches of whimsy like placing some of our petal confetti in the hands of statues in the gardens! It was beyond valuable to work with a team that supported us on every level. I’ve called out a few of their super stars below… I had a vision for my wedding that didn’t exist on Pinterest or The Knot, so it was challenging to manifest. But during our first meeting and venue visits, Morgan Gould locked on to my style and helped bring it to life. It was so affirming to be “seen” creatively, and to rely on Morgan’s insights as they provided valuable perspective while we collaborated long distance. I knew that when we encountered challenges that the creative solutions she suggested would align with my vision. Gretchen Fang helped create a colorful and joyful invitation suite that perfectly captured the late summer/early fall vibes we were going for. She’s incredibly talented at her craft, and suggested ideas that I never would’ve thought of! I’ll forever owe her one for showing me how impactful white ink could be!! The team at Blooms blew us away. Liv and Jacklyn embraced the challenge of my ambitious floral concept! They elevated my initial idea to something my guests and I will remember for the rest of our lives. The suspended wave of flowers over our dance floor was breathtaking. The perfect “art installation” feeling I’d always wanted! Our coordinator Diana Medley helped us manage our time effectively and kept us up to date with the needs and deadlines of our vendors. Not only was she fantastic with the logistics, but she was also a calming and empathetic presence through the whole process. I knew that she cared deeply about our wedding day and advocated for the soundest steps to make it beautiful, memorable, and most importantly, ours. I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to fully convey how valuable an asset (and how sympathetic an ear) Diana was for me. We were all able to relax and enjoy the day with confidence that Diana and her day-of team would keep everything running smoothly. I highly recommend their fantastic services.

I am a detailed and organized person already, but choosing Essential Details to help with the Day of Coordination was incredibly helpful and a stress relief. About a month before our wedding, we met in person and they had a detailed list of questions. They helped us think through the logistics of our day, gave us recommendations, and put together a timeline for the day. They had a final meeting with us and all of our vendors to ensure that we had every detail covered. On the day of our wedding, my husband and I were able to be so relaxed and enjoy the moments because Diana, Jessica, and Hannah were so helpful. They brought us drinks, checked on us throughout the night, and kept our timeline running smoothly.
