We went for the live music, Dr Rock & the Stuff. Loved the band, burger was to die for, and the wine was good, but the pour seemed short. Great place, I def will go back.
I had lunch at Ettore’s Bakery & Restaurant on Fair Oaks Blvd with a group of five. We arrived around 11:15 a.m., and it was already busy; parking was tight. You order at the counter here, and the cashier was friendly. We grabbed a table, but it hadn’t been wiped yet, so we cleaned it ourselves. My burger on a cheddar-scallion bun with hand-cut fries came out warm rather than hot. The iced tea was solid. Overall, a straightforward meal—nothing bad, nothing standout—so I’d call it 3/5 for this visit. For context, Ettore’s is a long-running Sacramento bakery-café (est. 1985 by Swiss-trained pastry chef Ettore Ravazzolo) that’s known for cakes and pastries.
Absolutely beautiful bakery. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting. Everything behind the glass is a work of art. My first time here, I had the peach tart and the lemon bar. The lemon bar was particularly prefect. The peach tart was not too sweet. Both were baked to perfection. Delightful service, beautiful packaging. High quality, highly recommend.
Great place for breakfast and DESSERTS! Good food and beverages but better dessert! Service was great till lady made a mistake in our order and they refused to take off the whipping cream and strawberries from our pancakes, for my kid. That was an easy fix that we initially were requested it. Other than that, good place!
I moved away from Sacramento before Ettorre's became so popular, and I've been dying to try it forever. Well, the day has come and dear lord it was worth the wait. I wish I'd taken photos of the other items I got - the red velvet cake simply disintegrated when my back was turned. (I live in the South, now, and I know from Red Velvet cake.) This one is phenomenal, not too sweet and the crumb is to die for. The carrot cake is equally good, as are the lemon bars, Italian wedding cookies, and the pistachio macarons. Utter gustatory paradise! (Did I mention the red velvet is super yummy?) Everything is as delicious as it is gorgeous, service is fantastic, location extremely convenient. Go, by all means! Edit: we came back for dinner and my steak salad was simply perfect, no other word for it. And of course I forgot to take a photo, but I got two more slices of red velvet and by golly if they didn't disappear as quickly as the first. Table service is just as wonderful as the counter service. It's just an all-around wonderful eatery!
