They stole my Cartier Watch! On 12/24/25, I took a Cartier watch to Fast Fix Jewelry and Watch Repairs in the Stonebriar Centre Mall in Frisco, TX. for a battery replacement. I paid Tony, the employee receiving my watch, $205.62 for a five-year warranty replacement. After about 45-50 later I received a text message indicating my watch was ready to be picked up. After about 15 minutes later, when I presented my payment/claim receipt, Tony could not find my watch; he had misdelivered it, given it to someone else. Tony indicated that he knew the person who received the watch and that he was "a nice guy." I waited while Tony called but the person did not respond. The store supervisor, Ms. Mackenzie Cowden, who was not present at the time, called me on another employee's cell phone and spoke to me. She acknowledged they gave my Cartier watch to someone else, but they would retrieve it, I would get a credit for the battery replacement charge and free battery replacement for life, and that one way or another they would make it right, even if they had to compensate me for it or give me another watch. She also indicated that the store owner would be reaching out to me soon. After several calls and text message exchanges with Ms. Cowden, where she reiterated in each that they had made a grave error, their process of returning repaired items to the owners was an "issue and needed review, and that Tony had had to go though training again." She stated, once more, that owner would call me and that they would make me happy in whatever manner necessary. She even said they had "five watches of the same." I wonder if mine is among those five. It has been more than a month and the owner has not yet called me, the supervisor has stopped taking my calls, and I do not have the watch nor even the battery I paid for. Have you read what they have on their website? I have copied it for future actions. My question is, what kind of business misdelivers an expensive item to someone they know is not the rightful owner and does nothing to make it right? Please call me and send me the company's insurance information. I will be expecting that soon. Thanks.
Resizing a simple watch; $60!! No prices are advertised so you wait in line for 30 mins to be told the exuberantly over priced quote. Don’t waste your time go to a local watchmaker instead.
Stopped by today to have the battery replaced in my watch. The watch was ready for pickup about 10 minutes after I left. Thank you for the quick and professional service! I would highly recommend this place.
I took an older watch in to have the band adjusted. An employee and I discussed removing two links. I came back the next day, and a different employee had repositioned the clasp spring bar a few notches down in the micro holes. When I tried it on, the band was still too big, so the employee adjusted it down further. This took him less than 30 seconds and was a task that I could've done myself (unlike link removal). I wonder whether this is honestly $50 of work or taking advantage of someone who does not know better. I had to make two trips to the shop for a thirty second task. The employee told me that it was done this way in order to avoid potentially damaging the links. I wonder why this decision was not discussed with me on the phone (or foreseen in the initial consultation) before I drove back to pick up my watch that still did not fit. I believe that these employees had good intentions, but I still wasted my time and money and did not get what I paid for. This part of the exchange felt like a failure of communication. I tried wearing the watch for a week or two, but it clearly did not fit. I decided to come back and have them take out the links, which they offered to do for no additional cost. I spoke with a third employee this time. I felt like he spoke to me with a callous indifference. He repeated the same warning as before--there was a risk that the watch could be damaged in the process. I am not a jeweler nor someone who repairs watches, so I do not have the relevant information to judge what this "risk" practically entails. I tried asking what kind of damage might occur and where, and he told me anywhere that comes in contact with the tool could be damaged. I have no doubt that what he said is literally true, but how can I make an informed decision based on such a vague and general claim? I decided to forego the work and just eat the cost. This watch is a family heirloom. Any damage to it would "cut deeper" than if it were just something I picked up from a store, but I still want to wear the watch that my grandfather wore before me. This third employee could not have cared less, and I think he is perfectly justified in feeling that way. It is not his watch. I am just another customer. However, I am writing this review just to share what others can expect. You may encounter employees with good intentions who, ultimately, do not deliver on what you want. You may encounter employees who do not care one way or another about what decision you make or offering professional insight into (what might be for you) a weighty decision. I'm sure this shop does fine work on certain tasks, but I would personally never recommend anyone to go there.
This ring is so beautiful. And means so much to me that Mackenzie helped me through the process and made it so easy. I found out that I was allergic to gold , and decided to have a loose emerald that my dad had for probably 50 years, made into my wedding ring. Fast Fix was my first choice. They had done a special engraving job for me a few years ago and I loved it. Needless to say I recommend this place.
