I cannot thank Attorney J.J. enough for everything he did for me during one of the most difficult times of my life. About a year and a half ago, during my green card application process, my husband was trying to control every step. He didn’t want me to apply for a work permit at first, but Attorney J.J. immediately stepped in and explained to him that it wouldn’t cost him anything and that having a work permit was my right and my choice. Later, when it came time for my green card interview, my husband refused to cooperate again . He called Attorney J.J. and said that he wanted me as his wife but didn’t want me to have my green card yet. He also delayed submitting the required documents, which caused a lot of stress for me. Despite all this, Attorney J.J. went above and beyond to keep things moving. We had an interview preparation meeting that my husband refused to attend, so I went by myself. During that meeting, I opened up to J.J. and told him that my husband didn’t want me to work anymore and asked me to stay home and take care of his mother which I did. J.J. listened to me patiently and showed genuine understanding. He advised me to email as many documents as I could, even if it wasn’t everything, and he would do his best to help with the rest. He then took it upon himself to personally contact my husband and explain how important it was for him to attend the immigration interview. Because of J.J.’s persistence and professionalism, my husband eventually agreed to go, and my green card was successfully approved. Afterward, J.J. encouraged us to work on our relationship, and I genuinely tried to follow his advice.I tried my best to save the marriage because I was so deeply in love with my husband even after all the abuse.I tried to convince him to take couple therapy but couldn’t. But over time, the emotional control and abuse became too much, and I eventually had to leave my husband which was the hardest.😭 Even though things didn’t work out in my marriage, I am grateful every single day that I have my conditional green card — and I owe so much of that to Attorney J.J. He was not only my lawyer but also someone who showed understanding and respect when I felt helpless. He handled my case with professionalism and kindness, and I truly believe he cared about my well-being as a person, not just as a client. I will always be thankful to Attorney J.J. for standing by me, guiding me through a difficult process, thanks for being such an amazing human being..
