I went from being anxious and forcing to reach notes that would make me pitchy. Alex got me relaxing and enjoying a richness I couldn’t always find. Now I’m booked 1-3 times per week for the rest of the year. My confidence went up and now I get requests at shows as people hear possibilities. It’s been huge for me and I can’t thank Alex enough.
Alex is a terrific instructor. I have issues with my voice and i was considering of quitting. I had lost all self confidence when singing to the point that the voice completely shut down on me a couple of times. I started with Alex and in my mind, I knew it was not going to last no more than a month; we are now on the seventh month and he has worked wonders. His level of patience is immeasurable. I've had Voice Instructors in the past, but Alex and the techniques he uses help me back on my feet in no time. He teaches me how tackle those monsters (high notes) I am in amazed by his approach. I have limited myself, such as going back to basic, but not anymore. I enjoyed singing operatic pieces, and somehow he captured my style and presented with a list of songs that I like and have put aside, because I didn't think I could ever sing them anymore. As parents, we are extremely grateful for the virtual voice lessons that our daughter has been participating in with Alex Taylor. With a strong emphasis on musical theater and an understanding of the audition and performance preparation process, he has been instrumental in nurturing our child's vocal talent. Our child has grown so much over the past year that she has taken lessons with Alex. He brings a great deal of knowledge and experience to the virtual lessons, ensuring that our child receives personalized instruction and guidance. The convenience of virtual lessons has made it easier for our child to consistently attend lessons and has been convenient for the family as well. We highly recommend Alex!
Alex is a phenomenal voice trainer! We have seen such growth in my daughter's singing ability and confidence since working with Alex. Lessons are very individualized and versatile. Lessons focus on what the student is currently working on, for example musical auditions, choir performance, Solo and Ensemble Festival, singing in Italian. My daughter recently performed for a judge who stated that her Italian pronunciation was "Spot on, Perfect!" after Alex had been working with her on this during lessons. Alex is very professional and encouraging, especially when the student is struggling with something. He finds a way to work through it that helps the student. At first, I was apprehensive about doing virtual lessons but they have worked very well. We are excited to continue working with Alex!
Alex has been a phenomenal voice teacher. I’ve done several months of lessons with him and can feel a real improvement in my voice every lesson. He has a deep knowledge of singing fundamentals, a developed teaching style, and he’s such a nice guy all around. If you’re on the fence about voice lessons, sign up for one with Alex.
