I have been taking lessons from Charles Foster for the past couple of months, and I am impressed with the level of service I have received. Mr. Foster possesses exceptional knowledge and understanding of the bass, and he balances this expertise with patience and empathy. As someone returning to the bass after years of not playing, I've encountered several challenges during our sessions, but he handles them with grace. I especially love that he doesn't simply provide sheet music; instead, he encourages his students to become entrenched in the weekly artist he assigns, training both our eyes and our ears. Whether you're returning to the bass or starting for the first time, the Foster Music Collective is definitely worth checking out.
A few months ago, I had the opportunity to meet Charles after searching for the right piano teacher for my three children. Choosing Charles was undoubtedly one of the best decisions I’ve made. The flexibility of online classes has proven to be invaluable. While I initially preferred in-person lessons, I've grown to appreciate the convenience of online sessions, especially during our travels or on unpredictable weather days. Charles's clear and engaging communication style resonates perfectly with my involvement in supporting my children's growth and progress through the lessons. I wholeheartedly recommend Charles to anyone in search of an outstanding piano teacher who offers the flexibility that families and students need.
All I can say is that Charles is an excellent and caring instructor. I am an older adult and started taking guitar lessons with him about a month ago. I was skeptical at first about taking lessons online, but the way Charles teaches, you almost forget it's online. I have grown in my confidence and ability to play the guitar in such a short time and am even learning to read music, which I never thought I could do! I am still a beginner of beginners, but with Charles as my teacher, I actually believe that I will one day be able to truly play the guitar. Thank you Charles for the way you invest in your students.
Mr. Foster is an excellent teacher who has encouraged, challenged, and provided a strong foundation. He listens to the student, engages with them, and nurtures a love of music outside of the actual lessons. Our family worked with another piano teacher before Mr. Foster and the difference is night and day. He helped our student address the gaps and bad habits learned. I highly recommend Mr. Foster. He is prompt, professional, and always brings positivity to each conversation and lesson.
