Matt saved my sanity. I bought two GSP puppies. I listened to advice from the breeder, the vet, went to puppy school and paid another "dog trainer" for help, but I wish I had known about Matt from the start. He is EXCEPTIONAL. I would not waste your time or money with anyone else. His aptitude for correcting any "dog behaviour" goes hand in hand with understanding the human situation that the dogs are in. He then sensitively, sensibly and with remarkable effect improves lives! I have recommended him to over five people now and will continue to do so.
Scruff (and I!) needed some help when she recently came to live with me. She had some anxiety and I needed direction on how to manage her. After looking through reviews, I took a punt and contacted Matt - I am so glad I did. Scruff is happy and coming off her anxiety meds, and I am far more confident with the direction I need to take with her training. In under a month she has gone from pulling on her lead to walking on a loose lead at my side with only the occasional correction needed and is far less reactive to other dogs. We are now enjoying our walks. Thank you Matt. I really appreciate how invested you are in Scruff's (and my) progress. We are very lucky to have found you.
Matt has been a wonderful help with our Great Dane Martina. He always goes over and above and we’ve kept in touch with him ever since we first used his services for questions and tips. We searched for the right dog trainer for some time, and love Matt’s approach. He has been a great calming influence. We highly recommend Matt for any situations you might be in.
I can't recommend Matt enough!! He is not only an amazing dog trainer, he is also a kind and generous person. He helped my foster dog yogi to become dog friendly. He went from attacking dogs to playing with them in the park after only a couple of sessions. Matt also gave me confidence with my dog and taught me how to control better control my dog when off lead and at home. Unlike many trainers Matt really cares for his clients. He is always available when U have a question and he honestly goes above and beyond what a normal dog trainer will do. I highly recommend you choose Matt if U need help with your dog.
I can’t say enough about the incredible transformation Matt has brought to my German Shepherd Alpha and my life through the Four Legs Training K9 Academy. When we first met Matt, Alpha was extremely reactive and struggling with his behavior, he would react just from the site of a dog over 50 meters away even to the point of attempting to bite other dogs if they got to close. But Matt’s expertise and dedication completely turned things around for us. From day one, Matt was not only professional but incredibly approachable and friendly. He took the time to understand both Alpha’s needs and my concerns. Through his guidance, Alpha has become an exceptionally well-behaved and loyal companion. Now, we can enjoy peaceful walks past other dogs without any reactivity- a testament to Matt’s amazing training skills.
