We had such a great time here. We tried out a lesson before our wedding just to get a feel for dancing, and we felt so welcome and comfortable even among other much more experienced dancers practicing in the space. Nikolai did a great job teaching us and was so kind and patient. I totally recommend lessons here, though they are a bit expensive!
I’ve been taking lessons at Fred Astaire Dance Studios-Madison West for two years, and it’s been an amazing experience! My instructor, Denys Andreichuk, is fantastic to work with. After just a couple of months, we performed a short routine to Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean” at one of the studio parties. That event inspired me to keep learning. Since then, I’ve competed in three dance competitions and two showcases. Denys continually challenges me to reach my full potential. If you’re looking for a fun and supportive place to dance, I highly recommend FADS-Madison West. The instructors and students are welcoming, and the focus is on learning, improving, and having fun!
My husband and I had so much fun taking dance classes here before our wedding. They have a graduated learning program that starts with basic moves to a few different dance styles and then progresses to learning the choreography that they create to the song of your choice. We had an amazing time learning the choreography and felt very supported along our journey by Elizabeth and Bogdan. Our dance was a MASSIVE success and our guests were blown away. The only draw back was the number of “beginner classes” we took before learning our actual choreography. But still a phenomenal experience and wonderful instructors to learn from!
My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Fred Astaire Dance Studio. We worked with Denys to coordinate our first dance for our wedding, and he did a spectacular job. While we had done some swing dancing on our own before, Denys helped us build a strong foundation and guided us through the basics. With his help, those basics blossomed into a beautiful routine that felt uniquely ours. Despite only having a month to prepare, the dance turned out perfectly—we received so many compliments afterward and couldn't have been happier with the result. We highly recommend Fred Astaire to any brides, grooms, or anyone looking to learn how to dance. We’re excited to return and continue our dance journey with them for future date nights!
My fiancé and I had a great experience at Fred Astaire, specifically with Oleksandr. We were on an extreme time crunch (~1 week) to learn our first dance. Neither my fiancé or I had any prior dance experience, so what Oleksandr was able to help us with in such a short time was very impressive. He was kind and a great listener and teacher!
