Cut off all of my dog's beautiful spaniel ear fur after I explicitly said let's keep it longer. Every groomer I've ever been to in the 10+ years I've been getting him groomed has known that under no circumstances do you completely chop off spaniel ear fur. You just don't do that, especially if the owner specifically says let's keep it longer. His tail wasn't done when I got there and the groomer also had to clean his eyes in front of me because that wasn't done either. Super sloppy and careless. He also said that my dog was nipping at him which sent alarm bells off for me as my dog has never once in his life done that with a groomer. I only ever get positive feedback on his behavior from every groomer he's ever been to, so I wonder what happened when I wasn't looking. My dog was fine and normal - not nippy at all - when he was back in my care. It's just heartbreaking because he has cancer and will most likely not live long enough for his ears to grow out back to normal - it will take over a year they are so bad - so I get to spend the last few precious months of him here on Earth being unrecognizable to me. This was the worst grooming experience I have ever had.
We previously visited Furside in East Atlanta Village, but since they are no longer open, we went to the Decatur location. The gentleman who owns it is amazing and extremely good with dogs. We just went for nail trim and anal gland expression, and in that short period of time I was able to really understand his care for dogs. We will be back!
Amazing groomer! They are so patient with senior pup. She can be difficult, but they work with us and handle her with care. We feel so safe leaving our pup with them!
Daniel and the team are wonderful. It was our first time at Fur Side. What a find! They opened promptly at 8am (even held the door for us). The groom they gave our 12 year old pup was exactly as requested. Daniel is personable and professional. The business runs incredibly smooth. We definitely found our new go-to groomers!
Just moved to the area and took my two cavapoos for the first time. Staff was so friendly and understanding with us- we were a bit unorganized. They did a great job with my boys, we will be going here from now on for their grooming, so glad we found our new spot for them!
