Fabulous place - small and perfectly formed with friendly service, GIANT deli hoagie rolls and the fantastic Bertha shake - like drinking chocolate cake! It comes with SOLID chocolate all inside around the cup and honestly is the most incredible shake I’ve ever had. Plus, the limited edition proper candied orange slice was incredible. A real treat.
I always ordered online, but I recently had a chance to visit the Leeds store in person. I really love their chocolate cake, and I was surprised to see they also sell sandwiches at the shop — and even the sandwiches are delicious. Staffs are super friendly as well! It was lovely to be here.
I was visiting from Bristol and I couldn't miss getting some GB treats in person after loving their Bruce & Bertha (milk choc is my fave), as well as their incredible super fudgy brownies thanks to the nationwide delivery. The gentleman who served was very friendly, patiently explained the options left at the end of the day and helped us choose some pie slices. I'm happy to say that a Mr Pistachio made it back to Bristol as well, even if with a slightly deflated merengue - I'm so glad I bought this one in particular because it was fricking delicious, no notes, so sad it doesn't travel well so it won't be available for delivery 😣 guess I'll just have to come back in store!
Came here to pick up a classic bertha for my bfs birthday. Situated in the popular student area of headingley - this is definitely the shop to go for decadent treats. The service at the shop is fast and the girl working there was really friendly and personable. As stated we got the classic bertha and I picked up a couple of slices of the pie (cheesecake) I had a slice of banoffee and a slice of biscoff. I am not normally a chocolate cake fan as I find it too sickly but I was really surprised - the bertha is perfectly balanced and light. The pie was also beautiful. The banoffee isn't overpowering and the biscoff one was also lovely. Both have the perfect ratios of biscuit to topping. I think it's well priced for the size of the slices. We will definitely be back again! Thank you ! Perfect place to shop for a special occasion or just because!
Bertha 🎉 I had waited to treat myself on my birthday and the dark chocolate Bertha just reminded me of my fav one back home ❤️ Birthday week made special by Birthday Bertha ☺️ 24 layers of dark chocolate is just heavenly. It’s very beautifully decorated. Cute shop. This was on my Maps list since I came to Leeds. Edit: I had bought Sprinkles too for an additional charge. I usually don’t take a look at the ingredients but I did today. The reason is every time I have these, my stomach gets upset. I used to ignore these. Today after checking, I’m throwing the leftovers out.
