Really friendly spot! Every trainer is welcoming of any skill level. They push you forward without letting you fall behind as well as make sure you're comfortable and keeping good form. It's really clean, affordable, and really seems like everyone is having fun and proud of the work they put in.
Gilbert Defense Arts has been one of the best decisions I’ve made, from the moment you walk in, the vibe is welcoming and inclusive, whether you’re a complete beginner or already have some experience. The classes are challenging but supportive, and the instructors take time to help you learn proper form and techniques, especially in kickboxing and self-defense. I feel stronger, more confident, and safer since starting here, both physically and mentally. The school works great for adults and kids alike, with a good balance of discipline, fitness, and real-world martial-arts training. If you’re in Gilbert and looking for a place to learn martial arts or self-defense, I strongly recommend giving Gilbert Defense Arts a try.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We absolutely love Gilbert Defense Arts! Since the beginning, Sensei Casey, Sensei Danielle & Sensei Lindsay have been so welcoming and supportive — they’re truly amazing. Mason has been training with them here for the past 4 years, and it has been the absolute best experience. The growth we’ve seen in his confidence, discipline, and skill has been incredible. The community here feels like family, and we couldn’t imagine a better place for martial arts training. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place that truly cares about their students!

Casey is just such a wonderful teacher/sensei!!!! My 4 year old looks forward to seeing him and learning with him every week. Such a clean and comfortable environment for kids and parents. I will definitely be taking some self defense classes from him, too! Absolutely love Gilbert Defense Arts!!
