My family and I had appetizers, dinner, and desert here. Everything we had was great. We would recommend the calamari- it was so good, we ordered another! It comes with a phenomenal garlic sauce & a unique red sauce. We also got the Beef Carpaccio, it was small, but had great flavor. For dinner we all loved the Drunken Love Pizza, it was amazing! We also had the Sunday Sauce pasta & enjoyed the two different meats in it. Two others got the chicken Parmesan and really liked it. If you are in the area and want some amazing Italian food, definitely go here. We learned they make home made pasta and pizza dough daily. We had to sit at the bar because it was the only seating available - we tried making a reservation but they weren’t answering the phone. Definitely try to make a reservation in advance, because it was packed! So good, if we are back in DC we will absolutely eat here again.
My family and I visited the restaurant last night for my birthday. It was a party of 7. Upon entry, the host asked if it was someone’s birthday and commented how they make a “big deal” about birthdays. The waiter took drink and appetizer orders but forgot to take one persons order who was at the end of the table. The apps and drinks came out very fast. When entrees arrived, some were missing food and had to wave the waiter down to remind him. I enjoyed my vodka sauce with chicken but some family members did not like their Alfredo. We did not get checked on after the food was delivered and needed to ask another waiter for another round of drinks and more water. The restaurant charges a “large party” fee of 20% which ended up being $108 which is why I believe the waiter did not come to check on us. As first timers, we did not enjoy the service and it did not correlate with online reviews.
Food was absolutely great …full of flavour and really well prepared. The atmosphere was electric, with a lively energy that made the whole experience even better. Our server was fantastic: friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout the meal, making sure we were topped up with water. The only slightly odd note was the dessert, which felt a bit random compared to the rest of the menu. Still enjoyable, just not as strong as the main courses. Overall, a brilliant visit and definitely worth trying!
First time here and I really enjoyed it! I got the Caesar salad, calamari, and the Drunken Love pizza, everything was delicious. The pizza was definitely my favorite, especially paired with the garlic sauce that came with the calamari. The vibe was great and everything tasted super fresh. My only small wish is that the salad had a bit more dressing. Overall, definitely worth a visit!
A true taste of Italy! All of the appetizers, entrées, and drinks were excellent—flavorful, fresh, and well-prepared. The service was friendly and attentive, which made the evening even better. The only downside was the dessert; the brownie fell short for us as it was a bit dry and lacked the cannoli cream flavor we were expecting. That said, everything else was outstanding, and we’d definitely come back for the food and atmosphere.
