The quintessential neighborhood bakery with hot off the oven artisan loaves, creatively crafted savory and sweet pastries, and rare finds like the authentic Argentinian alfajor. Pair any of them with a cup of coffee made by the friendly staff at one of the window tables and feel your heart smile. Arturo, the owner, has created such a gem, he has neighbors driving across town with gusto for this Gusto.
Beautiful bakery cafe in our neighborhood! The home baked breads, pastries and assortment of cafés can't be beat. The atmosphere is beautiful, design is thoughtful and staff and service impeccable. Try the jamon pastry and café de olla and take home a loaf of their artesian sourdough for later. If you're visiting for diner in, sit outside on their beautiful patio and enjoy your goodies and company on site. Either way, para llevar or eating there, Gusto is a great choice.
Enjoyed this place more than I thought. The foods, breads, coffee are excellent and costs less than I thought. The service is wonderful and with caring & smile. The place smells delish upon walking in and well displaced of the foods and everything else. There are seatings inside, outside and street patio. Just a cozy and relaxing place for me with great foods and drinks.
Great customer service. Loved the bolillo, empanada and alfajores. Really all their pastries are top notch. The coffee on the other hand was lackluster and overpriced. I was excited to try the atole latte, but the maiz cream did not add any flavor. The special matcha was just alright. But would definitely go back for the baked goods. They have specials on day old bread as well.
I‘m German so I’m very picky with the type of bread I like (and let’s be honest, most „bread“ sold in the US is a disgrace to the original product). I came to Gusto today for the first time and purchased a great looking sourdough loaf. The employee was very knowledgeable and explained all the different type of breads they had available. It was a busy day but he took his time with us. When I cut the bread later at home, I almost teared up. This tastes so close to home and brought back a taste I haven’t experienced for the 5 years I’m living overseas. This is craftsmanship, THANK YOU - your work is highly appreciated and I’m proud to live in a neighborhood with you guys. I will become a regular.
