I really love and appreciate seeing such care given to a special place. The owners at Harrison Brothers have maintained the charm of the shop while adding modern gifts and a very special collection of local arts, books, and items of historical interest. Everyone was super friendly, and I even got to meet the author of one of the books I purchased. It’s just a couple of doors down from Commerce Kitchen, one of the very best restaurants in town, so come early and browse because I’m confident you’ll find something to peak your interest!
Feels like you're walking back in time. The walls are filled with stuff that was for sale here many decades ago when it was still a hardware store and not a gift shop. Fun, local art gallery in there too.
Really unique shop with the original cabinets on the wall. When paying with cash the store still uses it's original cash register. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Cool little place to stop in when you're in the area. Not ideal for small children. It's very quiet in the store and aisles are tight.
Such a fun and interesting general store. The oldest in ALA when visitors are in town this is a must pop in. Right on the historic square and filled with local and regional artisan crafts, gifts and more. From soaps to marbles you will be amazed at everything they have. The staff are half clerks - half docents so fun and filled with facts, tidbits and info on Huntsville and the store. This is just as much a tourist attraction as it is business. You’ll be delighted at their selection and leave knowing a little bit of history of Huntsville too.
¡Esta tienda es tan genial! Tiene una mezcla tan ecléctica de productos, artesanías y arte. Podría recorrer las estanterías durante horas explorando la mercancía, el mobiliario vintage y Memorabilia. Mi novio me compró unos maravillosos moldes para pasteles, unas sartenes de hierro fundido, y unos posavasos con temática de Huntsville muy geniales. El personal es realmente amable, y fue agradable conversar con ellos mientras estábamos pagando. ¡Definitivamente volveré para curiosear y gastar!
