The parking was a bit of a challenge for me personally. But the restaurant is inside the Westin Hotel. It's a cute place. They do NOT serve alcohol. The pancakes were so good and I'm not even a huge lemon person. They were so good we forgot to take a picture before we started eating them. The shrimp and grits were pretty good. I got the sauce on the side as recommended by our server, Mike. It was the right move, it would have been a little too salty for me on top. Mike was great he gave great recommendations and was attentive. I will definitely come back for the pancakes alone, if nothing else 🙌🏾
First time here, and unfortunately, it will be my last. The service was poor and unprofessional. Our waiter was inattentive and disorganized, which set the tone for an already rough experience. The kitchen was an even bigger issue. Multiple dishes at our table came out wrong or undercooked. We had raw pancakes, chicken that wasn’t fully cooked, and meats that were hit or miss depending on who ordered what. Eating brunch shouldn’t feel like a food safety roulette game. My food was “okay”. Looked good, but missing a lot of flavor that’s expected for the price. For the prices they charge, this was completely unacceptable. The food is overpriced for the quality and consistency delivered. When you’re paying premium prices, you expect at least basic execution and safe, properly cooked meals. That standard was not met. Between the bad service, poorly prepared food, and overall chaos, this was a terrible experience. One visit was more than enough. I won’t be returning, and I can’t recommend this place to anyone who values quality, safety, or their wallet.
Haus of Brunch absolutely lived up to the hype. From the moment we walked in, the customer service was warm, attentive, and welcoming, and the food was outstanding across the board. Let’s start with the biscuits because they deserve their own spotlight—fluffy, buttery, golden on the outside, and downright addictive. Honestly, the biscuits alone are worth the visit. The fried chicken breast was perfectly cooked: crispy, golden, and juicy with great seasoning throughout. It paired beautifully with the rest of the plate and never felt heavy or greasy. The breakfast potatoes were crisp on the outside and tender inside, full of flavor, and clearly cooked with care. The gravy was rich and comforting, tying everything together without overpowering the dish. Even the eggs were done right—simple, fresh, and well executed. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared, well plated, and satisfying. Add in the friendly service and relaxed brunch vibe, and this place easily stands out. If you’re in Detroit and looking for a top-tier brunch spot, Haus of Brunch is a must. Highly recommend—and we’ll absolutely be back
I had an okay experience at Haus of Brunch. The aesthetic and decor were very nice, and the staff were friendly. I also really appreciated that the menu is fully halal. That said, the food itself was just average. While the location and decor give off a high end feel, the flavor and presentation did not quite match that vibe. For the price point, it felt like it was missing a true wow factor. I do think this brunch spot has a lot of potential, and I genuinely hope the best for them. What I ordered: • Fried Chicken Sandwich (5/5): My favorite dish. The chicken had a unique Yemeni spice, and the coleslaw and sauce worked well together. Presentation could have been better, but flavor wise this stood out. • Bacon Wrapped Dates (4/5): Tasted good overall with a nice combination of flavors, but not special enough for the price. I was expecting more of a wow factor. • Cadillac Skillet (3/5): Very basic and not very flavorful. It tasted like the components were made separately and tossed together. I had to request salt and hot sauce to make it enjoyable. Presentation was average and it was not served in a skillet as expected. • Rose Mocktail with Sparkling Water (2/5): Had a strange aftertaste and was not enjoyable. It tasted like the sparkling water was trying to mimic alcohol, which did not work for me.
Came home and was craving some good brunch, and my cousin took me here. The wait was a little long, and our waiter was not as confident about the menu. The food was great and his service was good. My steak was cooked to perfection, and those potatoes were yummy. My cousin got the chicken and waffles yummy. Chicken was so flavorful and juicy. Although her waffles were tough, they still had good flavor. The food was priced decent for the area and amount on the plate. Come try it it was good.
