In October my experience inside of Haynes (off of Chippenham) was a good one. However, the delivery folks chosen by the company (twice) was not. Let’s start by saying that the sales associate RC was a pleasure to work with. I knew exactly what I wanted when I walked through the door that evening. He was attentive and got my items ready to order and directed me to Ashley. At the checkout Ashley was amazing. She was so sweet and kind. Now to the delivery day. They chose Christmas Eve to deliver my furniture and I was ecstatic because it was supposed to be after Christmas. My appointment time was between 9:15 AM and 12:15 PM. Perfect!! At 10:24AM the delivery driver called and delayed the time to 2pm-3pm due to truck issues. Not a problem. Didn’t get here till after 5pm! Had to postpone our families arrival time for dinner. Long story short it was a struggle for them putting it together. One bossed the other around and it was very evident that it was not appreciated. He even had me moving furniture and holding his phone flashlight. They left without completing the job. It is electric and not all of the plugs were hooked up. I had to get my family to help move it so we could walk into the room. Friday after Christmas while I was at work my mother called the Haynes store and was given the run around by the “answering service” and was denied connection to the store and any manager she asked for. She kept intercepting the phone calls and then She then called my mother stupid with several mocking gestures to an individual in the background. I guess she forgot to hit the hold button but when confronted she just hung up on my mother. She called several more times but never got through. I got off work and drove all the way to the store to express my concerns. I waited for the manager to finish his task. I don’t remember the managers name but he listened to my concerns and was pleasant. RC happened to be there as well and he was very apologetic. Then I was directed to Janet at the customer service counter and she was amazing! Got us another date to get our furniture to be fixed. She even offered to try to get us a refund on the delivery service and I was so happy that she cared enough for our struggle because I never asked for any compensation. She was denied on the refund. No surprise there. Instead I was offered a $250 store credit. As I had no issues with anyone in that particular store but I’m still not wanting to purchase anything from Haynes in the near future. Lastly the on the 30th two different folks came out and treated us terribly about having to fix the furniture. It was extremely disheartening that they were so rude and unprofessional about fixing others mistakes. It is still not correct! He yelled at my mother “it can’t sit there!” She showed him the chair does in fact have plenty of space to recline. He moved it anyway blocking the whole entry into the living room. She had to get help putting it back after they left. One piece of the sectional is still rickety but I give up. I am in love with this set and have no regrets having it. It just makes no sense to mock and call people names who wanted to buy furniture they wanted and paid to have it delivered and wait so long to have it and to be dismissed in their valid complaints when the folks they hire to do a job doesn’t know how to do it and disrespect the home owner in their own home.
The sale lady Sharyn Was good very patience. Explain in away make you fully understand about the product we purchasing. We really appreciate her help. It make us want to come again .I love that behavior on attitude towards business
Haynes had good selection to chose from for the living room suit that we were shopping for. Sharyn assisted us in our shopping and she was very knowledgeable with the merchandise that they sold. She had all the answers and yet wasn't pushy at all. She gave us room when we needed it and was readily available when we needed that. When we shopped for a new mattress, she was the person we needed. Again, her knowledge was extensive. I will say that the quality of the furniture was very good and I know we are getting some good stuff. The only reason I only gave 4 stars is because I spent a fortune. But I can't really say that was Haynes fault. There furniture was too good to walk away from. Merry Christmas to us☃️
It was such a pleasant experience. Sharyn was very helpful and helped make sure we were able to get what we needed. Everyone was so accommodating and we walked away with quality furniture. Definitely will be returning.
I was pleasantly surprised at the no pressure to buy at Haynes. We were very courteously received when we entered the showroom. We were shown where the furniture was that we were looking for and was left alone to look at furniture we might like. We reviewed options and talked with the rep and he provided us great information that helped us make a decision. I expected pressure and a sales pitch but it didn't happen, which made us very happy. We ended up purchasing the sofa and chair that we liked.
