We had dinner just before New Year’s Eve, so the restaurant was very crowded and we had to wait around 30 minutes for a table. The food was very delicious and suited our taste well, with a waiting time of about 15 minutes for the dishes. The staff were very enthusiastic and friendly. The location is right in the city center, making it easy to find.
I visited Hecho en Mexico on Hardware Lane recently and had mixed feelings about the experience. The food itself was quite good — flavorful, nicely cooked, and true to the vibrant Mexican style you’d expect. The tacos were tasty and the guacamole fresh, so the kitchen clearly knows what it’s doing. Unfortunately, the service really dragged the experience down. The staff seemed confused and somewhat unorganized. It took a long time to get anyone’s attention, and one of our dishes was completely forgotten. After reminding them several times, it finally arrived nearly an hour later, well after everyone else had finished eating. By then, the moment had passed. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and a good location, but poor service makes it hard to enjoy the meal fully. If they can improve coordination and attentiveness, this place could easily be a great spot for casual Mexican food in the city. For now, I’d say it’s worth a visit only if you’re not in a hurry.
We went to Hecho en México late at night (around 10:30pm), and unfortunately our experience didn’t quite match the hype from all the reviews. The loaded nachos were good, and the jalapeño poppers were great — although we had asked for no corn and they still came loaded with corn. We tried the 3-taco combo and that was the biggest let-down. The flavours just didn’t work for us — one had mango, another had coconut — and even though we specifically asked for them to be spicy, they were pretty bland. Overall, it wasn’t a terrible meal, but it was definitely disappointing compared to expectations. Maybe better earlier in the day, but our late-night visit wasn’t great
The food was nice🫶 I tried the new Hecho en Mex Parma and was yummy. It comes with some salad and fries. And also I had the Jamaica drink. Was refreshing. The staff were very kind too and the order didn’t take very long to come to the table. They also have tables outside and inside. The day is amazing so I enjoyed the food outside :)
Absolutely loved it. Had the nachos, corn, birria tacos and fish fajita. Apart from the nachos needing more hot sauce everything was on point. I’ve had birria tacos in LA and those were crazy good but these weren’t shabby either. Flavours were 😋, nachos were better in LA but still worth a 5 start. Thank you 🙏
