Brought my precious first born daughter here 10 years ago. They looked me in the eyes as a young parent and said vaccines were safe and effective and that if I was a good parent I would vax her. Every time she was vaxed she would break out in a rash or fever. I would call them and they would say it was never the vaccines. She was so strong and healthy but then started toe walking and developed bad eczema. Couldn’t possibly be the vaccines they said. They took my money, ruined my child’s health, and lied to me and bullied me. These people do not care about your children and they should be jailed for caring more about money and working for big pharma.
Beware of going to this facility! They used to be great for years, but the last two visits for my daughter have included additional exams that they are not upfront about the cost. My daughter went in for an annual physical that is typically covered 100% by my insurance and I got a bill for $300 due to lab work that they ran without discussing with me. They pricked her finger like normal, so I was of the impression that that was part of the physical (like they have done every other year before), and then they sent it off for additional test without disclosing to me. Ask lots of questions if you decide to go here.
They discriminate against kids with allergies! They didn’t want to see my kid because ONE of the vaccines he’s taken had a bad reaction to it ONE not all. One! & now all the sudden because he has an allergic reaction we can’t be patients 🤦🏻
They certified a letter today to refuse care to all of our children after being customers for over 18 years!!! I'm shocked! My oldest has aged out a few weeks ago, but my 1 year old and 11 year old is now left without a primary doctor. I took my toddler to her appointment 6 months ago for shots and since then my husband lost his job in the military and his tricare. The letter said reason for denying care, "well care policy non-compliance" Like, what?? What even is that?? We can only guess that it was because we missed the next round of vaccinations after my husband lost his job. And what would happen if I didn't want to vaccinate them? As a parent we should be allowed to deny any vaccination without repercussions. It's been 6 months since you jabbed my child 6 times. Now you kick out all our children because we had yet to schedule the next appointment? Seriously? Would it have killed you to at least try to pick up the phone and make a courtesy call first or is empathy too much for you? I'm ashamed I chose this practice to provide infant care at the hospital last year. We haven't miss any scheduled appointments and my son was there multiple times last year for covid and flu testing. No warning, no call, no nothing. Just a letter to boot the family. Absolutely uncalled for. What are we suppose to do now? It's a complete and utter embarrassment that I even have family that work at this office. Do yourself a favor and find a pediatrician that actually cares about your child, a place that shows empathy and love. You won't find it here.
I am a 19-year-old patient who first came to Highland Pediatrics needing antidepressants five years ago. I still leave every appointment thinking about how I love Dr. Davis. She is always communicative and empathetic, and if I ever have a concern she carefully explains to what degree it might or might not be medically relevant and asks follow-up questions to get to the root of an issue. I've never felt ignored or confused at her office. I would highly recommend!
