Beautiful skin is not created by accident but by the next appointment. I travel 45-1hr away. 2 hour round trip. I dont care what other people say I love all the products I get from houston acne. And there awesome service. I am a fan for 4 years now. They really care. In my case my issue was more related to lack of even skin tone and keeping my skin more brighter in houston sun as a dark skin person. I learned to use their sun screen without any issue of the white hue. I love the moisturizer, the toner, tres C, peptide plus, oil cleanse to remove makeup. I use to have issues with acne. As a hair specialist in my field I can say it can be counter productive to any skin care if: -pillow cases should be washed a minimum of once a week. Why? Oil on pillow transfer to face. -bonnets, hair wraps need to be washed every 4-7 days -be aware that some protective styles fibers can irritate and hold oils that hold dust etc from the air. So at night keep on a clean bonnet. -Basing scalp or hair with petroleum base oil and or most oils will travel to the face due to body heat and combing hair after application. - be-careful not to sleep with the hands near the face. The oils from lotion and hair scratching or rubbing can transfer oils to the hands and irritate the skin. - hands need to be clean when applying make up and skin care - make up brush has to be clean prior to use. - never sleep with makeup on the face - wash face morning and at night This was a game changer now my focus is even skin tone
As a new client, I recommend approaching their products with caution. In my experience, they did not deliver the promised results. I held off on leaving a review to give the products time to work on my skin, but after nearly two months, I’ve seen little to no improvement. The "oxygen peel" treatment I received was completely ineffective. When I shared my concerns, they attributed the lack of results to only seeing my skin once and emphasized that skin takes time to improve. While I understand this, if you’re going to push products, it’s essential they actually work. If I inform you that the products aren’t effective for *my* skin, please don’t blame it on limited interaction or try to sell me more products without offering a proactive solution. Additionally, the refusal to accept returns or provide refunds only adds to the frustration. Skincare isn’t one-size-fits-all, and this approach feels dismissive of individual needs. On the other hand, they provide good client education.
Would recommend this place to anyone! The doctor and her staff are SO knowledgeable and SUPER friendly and helpful. I appreciated the “science lesson” at the beginning of my first appointment that ultimately built my trust in the doctors knowledge and where my acne may be coming from. I even got a call a week ahead of time to help me prep for the appointment where they shared tips to prepare my skin and just preliminary information. I was maybe a couple minutes late for my appointment and they were so gracious! Although I haven’t scheduled a follow up appointment because my skin just so happened to start clearing on its own, if anything else comes up this is the first place I would go to! Thanks so much for a great experience.
