Fantastic customer service from our tech who was updating our 50 year old air intake. He was able to answer all my questions and left me confident in his work.
Although we had to wait for a few days for a tech to come by, it was truly worth the wait....Jake was absolutely wonderful... he explained everything really well, advised as to what he was doing and what might be best for the future. He even got quotes for us regarding alternate heating options.....we were very pleased (and our dog LOVED him too....so he is obviously a good person :))
Every one at Hydro-Flo I talked to was amazing. My hot water tank decided to start leaking water in the middle of the night, I called in the morning and talked with Zoey, she was able to get me estimate for a new tank very fast and was able to get a tech out the next morning to do the replacement. Sam the tech was amazing, very clean and professional. I had to do financing for the work and Justin was great to deal with, within 5 minutes all the paperwork was completed. Excellent service and very professional team. Highly recommended them to anyone looking for professional and reliable services.
Updated Google Review Title: Misrepresentation of Efficiency AND Unacceptable, Prolonged Failure to Repair Property Damage I normally don’t write reviews, but this experience has been extremely disappointing, and the core issues remain unresolved. My home water heater was leaking, and after some research I initially asked Hydro-Flo Plumbing & Heating Ltd. about a Rheem RTGH-95DVLN-2 tankless high-efficiency model. They quickly quoted me $3,700 and said they could do same-day installation. Issue 1: Efficiency Misrepresentation During our conversation, I was told the replacement—a 50-gallon tank—would have an efficiency rating of 0.8 UEF, which sounded reasonable compared to tankless models (~0.9). Based on this promise of near-high efficiency, I accepted. However, the installed model is the Rheem PROG50T-65N standard tank, which officially has a UEF efficiency of 0.65—a substantial and misleading drop from the 0.8 figure I was quoted. This is a clear misrepresentation of the product’s performance. Issue 2: Property Damage and Failure to Follow Through (Ongoing) To make matters worse, their staff's equipment damaged my rain gutter/eavestrough system upon arrival. A manager (Todd) came to inspect the damage on September 22, 2025, and acknowledged the responsibility. In your company’s public reply to my original review three weeks ago, you stated that a larger contractor "has an appointment with you early next week" to handle the repair. Today is October 22, 2025. That "early next week" appointment has been missed for three weeks, and the damage to my home is still unrepaired. Your public statement attempts to diminish the damage by claiming my "home has weathered over time," yet you simultaneously confirmed the incident by stating your "ladder rack hit" the eavestrough. Furthermore, sharing my "pleasant thankful texts" does not negate the factual misrepresentation of the water heater's efficiency or your company's persistent failure to rectify property damage. Conclusion I originally chose this company because of their high Google ratings, but the experience has shown a lack of accountability. I have now filed formal complaints with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and Alberta Consumer Protection (ACP) regarding both the misrepresentation and the failure to repair property damage. If anyone is considering Hydro-Flo Plumbing & Heating Ltd. for installation, please read this carefully and think twice before making your decision. Avoid sacrificing long-term efficiency and professional accountability for the sake of same-day service.
We recently had an AC unit installed in our condo by Hydro Flo, and we couldn’t be more impressed! The team was incredibly respectful, professional, and mindful of working in a condo space. They communicated clearly, arrived on time, and made sure to maximize the space efficiently without cutting corners. You can tell they take pride in their work. Everything was done cleanly and thoughtfully.
