i am so very happy i literally ran out of work in the middle of the day to ask a stranger where she got her hair done because that’s how i found rissel! i am a transplant from los angeles and had been with my hairdresser for 10 years before moving here. i went through about six stylists prior to coming upon rissel and was starting to lose faith in the dc hair care world. ever since i have been going to illusions, people have once again started complimenting me on my hair 😊. my hair and i have been very fortunate in finding rissel and illusions salon. i constantly recommend them to other curly hair girls and anyone who asks and will keep coming back. rissel is knowledgeable, patient, accommodating and generous with her time and expertise; i really lucked out finding her!
Such an amazing salon experience! The space is beautiful, clean, and welcoming, and everyone is professional and friendly. You can tell they genuinely care about their clients and love what they do. I always leave with the best hair and feel taken care of. Highly recommend this salon and I recommend Rissel specifically!
LOVE this spot. last year i was incredibly nervous to cut my hair - it was pretty long but lots of dead ends and hard to care for. i wanted something easier to manage and more chic. gorkem noticed that there were a lot of natural waves in my hair that i’d been ignoring up until that point, and the cut he gave me transformed my style. he also gives great advice on how to maintain hair post cut so that i can achieve the same look as the one i left the salon with. since then he’s the person i trust most with my hair. thank you!!!!!
I got my hair done today with Rissel and as always, she did an amazing job. I’ve been doing my hair with her for a very long time.Today I got a balayage, and it turned out beautiful she’s truly so talented and consistent. She offers so many services, makeup for all type of events, balayage, hair coloring, hair extensions and more. She always delivers incredible results. I definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a hairstylist. I will share a before and after pictures.
Melek did an absolutely amazing job on my hair! She listened to exactly what I wanted, explained every step with so much patience, and made me feel completely comfortable the entire time. My hair has never looked this smooth, shiny, and healthy before. She truly has magic hands — talented, gentle, and very detail-oriented. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and Melek made the whole experience feel luxurious. I will definitely be coming back and recommending her to everyone.
