For BJJ training, Gabe & Anton & Coach Q are great. Super knowledgeable and super kind and patient. (Haven't had experience with their other instructors, but they're probably good too. New kickboxing instructor seems popular.) This is a great place for beginners (whether adult or kids/teens), as well as blue belts and above. They recently installed all new mats and many punching bags. Higher-level belts are generally helpful in teaching us newbies, answering our questions, giving tips, etc. Inside Control Academy has a good thing going...
I visited this gym to train with a friend. Gabe, the instructor, and all of the students were very welcoming to a new guy. Instruction was technical and well taught. I highly recommend checking out this gym.
Stopped in to see this place and was overwhelmed by how welcoming everyone was. No one trying to squeeze money out of me, just people saying welcome and look around and offered to let me jump in either kick boxing or Jiu Jitsu class!
I have helped others start a school and I have helped others train to fight. I am a Hall of Famer who’s trained in many styles for more than 1/2 my life . I didn’t know what to expect trying out their 3 day class trial and I was pleasantly treated and equally surprised. They were on top of things and I loved to see there were no egos it’s about learning and your personal journey. Good technique and great classes all around . It’s worth a try for You or your child from novice to pro . Great work out thanks for an awesome class looking forward to seeing you again soon!
I'm a newer member and one of the many things I love about this academy is how there are members with varying skill levels and everyone takes care of each other when sparring. "Take care of each other" and "training is trusting" are two of the main ethos here and I've learned tons from the coaches and experienced members. Also, book a private lesson with Marquis. You will learn tons!
