Beautiful and calming place. We were given a tour guide with information about the construction of the garden and how different areas represent different topographies in Japan. There are koi fish and ducks in the lake in the middle, and several waterfalls. Between the walking trail, a cute gift shop, and tea available for purchase, it's a very calming place and green garden paradise in the middle of the Phoenix desert!
A beautiful and peaceful gem to enjoy a walkthrough. I came here with my teen daughter and she loved taking photos and enjoyed her experience. It definitely takes you to a whole another place being in the garden. It’s small but not crowded. It’s next to the children’s playground so I am pretty sure all the little kids are enjoying there. Which leaves the peaceful walk for adults to enjoy. Park has beautiful wooden benches all around so we could sit and enjoy the views. It has a couple waterfalls, a zen garden, which were lovely for our photos. Also, a small gift shop :) Next time we will definitely try their tea experience! Totally recommend it!
We were lucky to come on a day where an event was happening. We got to make a New Year's wreath, listen to a childrens' taiko drum performance, participate in a traditional Hokkaido dance, and play with mochi. It was very eventful and fun. The staff are so friendly and there are lots of informational signs regarding different cultural items and their meanings. The garden itself was peaceful and excellently curated. Would definitely recommend.
Well-kept grounds, very peaceful and beautiful space. A bit small (considering entry fee) and they have really gone overboard with the signs and warnings about not sitting or stepping anywhere. Kind of kills the vibe seeing this every few seconds.
Prices are fair for the amount of care put into it, but the garden feels quite small. Very tranquil and beautiful, with a cozy gift shop full of goodies and Japanese imports. Loved my experience here! Great parking, too.
