The customer service on the part of everyone I encountered @ Japantown Optometry is excellent! My Optometrist, Dr. Tat is kind, thoughtful, thorough, patient and addressed all of my questions and concerns. I give her a 10 out of 10 star rating!
Should give more time for exam. After change of owner, the exam time is cut down significantly and limited within only 20 minutes. For easy cases, 20- minute period may work but overall, a rush examination will affect the quality of the examination
Scheduling was easy—I was able to cook an appointment the same week. My appointment was efficient, the staff were friendly and professional. The office is organized and well run.
I had really good experience with both Doctor and staff. They are super friendly and extremely patient with you. They let me try all the sample contact lenses and did not make me rush through the process.
I’ve been coming here for over two years and did not have any issues until today. Dr. Nakano was amazing as always but when I had to purchase my contacts, I encountered a problem with Glenda. Compared to the staff I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with in the past, Glenda was not helpful and did not even try to be. I had an issue with my insurance and Glenda just gestured to one of the receptionists, “talk to her about it.” She also sounded defensive when I mentioned if she pulled my information from last year. “I did not pull anything,” she said. I’m not sure what’s there to be defensive about. The staff that usually helped me with issues like these was unfortunately busy with other customers. Last year, I wanted to try dailies instead of monthlies for my contacts and she broke down the cost of every single combination and brand that was available. That’s the level of service I was used to. Instead, Glenda told me I can “do whatever I want,” instead of offering assistance for my issue. I’m very upset by the appointment and I’m considering requesting not to speak to Glenda for future visits. I can’t think of any reason in my behavior that deserved the attitude I received—I was very polite and friendly to all the staff throughout my visit. I hope the management team is able to restore the level of service and care they gave to their patients in the past.
