I’m a very unhappy customer. Our home is about eight years old, and about a year after moving in, a water spot appeared in our master closet ceiling. Over the next several years, additional spots formed. We noticed the water appeared after showers, and the master bath is directly connected to the closet. Because of JD ServiceNow’s strong reviews, we hired them multiple times over the years to find the source. Two different plumbers were unable to identify the issue, even after one cut a hole in the ceiling at my request. Despite their visits, the water damage continued and worsened. On January 16, 2026, a JD ServiceNow HVAC technician came out and claimed to have found the issue. This was our third or fourth attempt with the company. He spent about 30–40 minutes, did not test the shower or condensation theory I mentioned, and said the problem was a leaking duct. He taped the duct and assured us the issue was resolved. We were relieved and hopeful. Unfortunately, the water leak continued. On January 26, 2026, we discovered a brand-new water spot in the master bathroom around the vent—an area that was not damaged before the HVAC visit. Based on timing, we believe the attempted fix either failed or made the issue worse. We’ve dealt with this unresolved problem for years and trusted JD ServiceNow based on their reputation. We also regret signing up for an annual HVAC service plan after this visit, as we no longer have confidence in the quality of work. We’re now left paying to repair additional damage that occurred after a service we already paid for. JD ServiceNow may work well for others, but our experience has been frustrating, costly, and unresolved. We’ll be using a different company going forward.
Greg is fantastic! I needed some emergency plumbing services (sewer line backup/repair) at my home and I am very fortunate that JD sent me Greg Degenhardt. He arrived the same day, was extremely knowledgeable, and took the time to explain the entire process to me. It had been several years since I had a plumber work on the house so Greg performed a thorough inspection and made sure everything was in top condition. What really stands out is Greg’s attention to detail… his precision and craftsmanship are clearly a point of pride. He even left the job site cleaner than he found it. It is rare to find such professional, high-quality work and I will definitely be calling Greg for any future plumbing needs!
Even though I know Zack, I think everyone can agree that friends and family tend to be the worst critics! He found an issue with my 18 year old water heater which was corroded and leaking and full of sediment nasty sludge! He showed me pictures and videos of the issue (because I was too scared of spiders to go in there!) and clearly explained what was needed and what each step in the process would look like and what to expect if I went with JD Service Now. Really like the option to finance which went very smoothly as well. I got the plumbing and hvac membership because of its inclusion of routine system checks (I haven’t had anything checked in the 8 years I’ve been there!) and discount on future repairs if needed. Once I confirmed, scheduling him to come out was fast and super easy. Now I’ve got a new water heater that isn’t leaking, gets hotter AND the hot water lasts longer!! Overall a very pleasurable experience - will definitely recommend to others.
I must admit that I was entertaining thoughts of NOT renewing my yearly service contract with J D Services. I was leery of the new benefits and increased costs. Then, today, Casey (and Percy) came to the house to do my last HVAC free service. Casey was polite, professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Even before they got started, he was fielding, and expertly handling all the questions I had stockpiled about the system and my thermostat, in language I could understand. He (and Percy) thoroughly examined the system, with Casey explaining the functions and parts of it, how they worked together and how I could enhance its efficiency and longevity. By the time they were through, I had resolved to enthusiastically renew my J D Services membership. Thanks, guys. Great work!
I converted my electric stove to a natural gas stovetop - gas line had to be extended over 30ft, new cooktop installation including the downdraft exhaust fan - Richard did an excellent job. He explained what has to be done and why. The job took over 6 hours and Richard was absolutely amazing!
