Shopping at this store is a great experience, they have everything an artist can ask for. Everything is very well organized and there is a vast selection of supplies. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. This location in particular has become my go to supply store would definitely recommend.
I live in Hawaii and we really don’t have art supply stores there. I’ve ordered online from Jerry’s Artarama but it’s not the same. I was in Texas and coming from a place where my universe is a 50 square mile rock in the middle of the pacific I don’t have a lot of real life experience with distance. It was quite a drive to get here from where I was visiting but so worth it. Walking into an art store and seeing your “crushes” in person is a magical experience. I got to do really odd creepy things that most people in the store totally understand…like run my fingers across the paints and brushes, sniff the pencils for way too long, and in some cases grab them and hold them. Sigh. The employees were all super helpful, proactive, so friendly and knowledgeable. There is a counter space by the registers that had some stuff to try. Which is genius because I did not know how much I needed the stuff I played with but couldn’t go home without them. I have never seen anything so glittery as the Soho glitter bomb watercolors; and I have a number of metallic and glitter sets. I was able to get Caran d’Ache open stock Neocolorll and Luminance pencils. They had some prismacolor and polychromos open stock as well. I appreciate being able to order online, but there’s nothing that compares to in-store experiences when a business has great employees and this business has great employees.
Got 2 fresh sketchbooks today and i appreciate y’all existing so i don’t have to go to (insert chain store here) Edit: i forgot to ask if y’all carry linocutting kits?
Wow! I am a blossoming hobby-artist, mostly painting in acrylic. When I came into the store, it was like a artist's wonderland. Not only was there excellent selection, but the employees were wonderfully helpful. I had many questions about acrylics, mediums, etc, and a lady walked around the store with me and pointed out everything to me that I may consider buying (within my price range) and taught me. She even told me that I can come in with my art piece if I am having difficulty, and ask for suggestions. I am floored. If I ever ran an artist's store, I would want it to be like Jerry's. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend. I will definitely be coming back. I feel good giving my money to this place haha.
