Tan is extremely knowledgeable about jewelry and is a fair businessman. He repaired my turkish rope bracelet in less than 5 minutes and was beyond reasonably priced for his speedy and high quality service. He also resized my wedding ring & replaced the diamond in less than a day and also was fair with pricing. Definitely my new jeweler.
I had called here to see if the location was open, he took me in since they were. It was my first time here so I thought the reviews were good. I was wrong. I waited until a lady was done selling her gold to the owner, but he did ask me what could he help me with. I had told him my chain had got broken due to my BF toddler cousin got ahold to it. He proceed to make jokes about “my baby daddy needing to pay for it” and baby daddy jokes. What baby daddy? I guess the jokes were funny because he kept mentioning how her husband had money and “she doesn’t need to work”. Then as he was done assisting the lady who was a normal customers with him, he “helped me” but state my chain wasn’t worth much, my “baby daddy paid more for the box than the Chain itself”. Mind you this was a true 18k gold chain. If I had some real gold I could sell it to him or buy from him. I didn’t argue, I just let him fix. Please do not say this never happened. It did and I can post my billing statement from this place last year. I was a walk in and same day fix. I’m just now posting because of the lack of care when doing this. I went to Custom Jewelers Gallery off battleground recently to get it fix because the chain came apart in that same place again. The other part was loose and they had fix that just to be on the safe side. I will never come here again and stick with Custom Jeweler like I always due. They were closed that day unfortunately and I wish I would’ve waited at that time. I see more now that the Asian stereotype towards black people are true!
Went in to have a ring sized the owner was very professional and polite, he explained what needed to be done and the cost to fix it, then proceeded to take care of the sizing right there in the store. It didn't take long at all then polished the ring it looked like new. I was very happy with the results. I would definitely recommend Jewelry Doctor to anyone that needed any jewelry repaired or to buy jewelry from the store he had a wide selection to choose from.
