I have used John Brown several times now and have always received excellent service at a very reasonable price. Booking is straight forward, they are completely reliable and delivery and collection is on time, as promised and very efficient. Everything you would need, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

John Brown cater hire provided chairs for our wedding, delivered out to kinlochard. We always received quick, helpful and professional responses from them, and they were very helpful when we visited the warehouse to choose what type of chairs to hire. Only issue we had was that the delivery driver was due to phone 1hr before delivery/collection so that we could be at hall to meet them, and unfortunately we didn't receive calls. Despite this the service overall was very good and I would be happy to use them again.
Hard to give even one star, I'm afraid. My company ordered tables and chairs for a business session in Edinburgh, all furniture came damaged, dirty, and sticky from previous use. When I sent photos as proof and complained asking for a full refund, I received acknowledgement of my message. Since then, I never heard back despite several follow-ups, with the finance department and the director included. No answer. I don't recommend this supplier to any events professionals.
