It all started with a desire for a screen porch. It ended with 85% of the front of our house removed and a glass jewel box attached. Our living area was transformed from a lovely, intimate private space to a lovely, intimate open and spacious space. The dramatic landscape of our unique area was beautifully invited inside. The Grable team—John, Matt, Javier and Krystal—were a delight to work with. Our ideas and desires were incorporated into the design process while the vision of what we wanted was beautifully expanded thanks to the vision of this architectural group. John and his team were the perfect match for our team. We had an owner who as a child drew working drawings of houses for his mother to live in, whose father is an architect, whose mother is an interior designer, and whose stepfather used to build custom homes. Not an easy job to mesh all these talents and egos and still be on speaking terms at the end. But John, Matt and the rest of the crew did so masterfully. In leading us every step of the way they created a beautiful home, dramatic, artful and comfortable to live in. We couldn't be more pleased with the experience and highly, highly recommend this firm.
I’ve been working with John Grable and his team for the past 18 months to resurrect our unique Cy Wagner designed family home built in ‘67. They have been supportive and sensitive to the emotional situation and are respecting the bones of the master while bringing it back to life in a modern world. We will post again when the project is completed next year.
