Holy cow what a place! And that’s coming from someone who lived in Mx and San Diego. Before we even sat down we had chips, salsa and waters. I did read a review prior to coming in that the portion sizes were decent. The portion sizes are HUGE! Man. We took home leftovers and I had Mexican for three days straight. ceviche is banging. The birra was mouthwatering. Come here for sure!!!
Wow! Our first experience here tonight. All the employees we interacted with were so nice! Food came out super fast and was delicious. Portions were large. Drinks came out fast and were also delicious. Prices were completely reasonable. Decor and vibes were cool. Menu had lots of options but not an overwhelming amount. Music was at a reasonable volume. We will be back!
Visiting Norfolk and stopped by Jose Tequilas!! I felt welcomed (just like family/familia) from the time I walked in until the time I walked out. Mileny was amazing along with the rest of the staff. They checked on me several times and made sure everything was good. The salsa was impeccable along with the Birria tacos. I hate I’m just visiting because I didn’t want to leave. The house margarita mixed with the Sangria was so delicious and the house shot with coconut rum was smooth and so inviting. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. Hasta la próxima mi amiga/amigo 😩😭😭
We absolutely love going to Jose Tequilas on Little Creek! Every time we walk in, it feels like we’re coming home. The staff not only remembers our usual order, but they bring everything out with such care and attention to detail. They treat us like family—always asking about our kids and making us feel like we’ve been regulars for years, even if it’s only been a short while. It’s rare to find a place where the service is as good as the food, but Jose Tequilas delivers both every single time. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would without hesitation. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great food and even better people.
This Jose Tequilas is located in the Little Creek section of Norfolk along E. Little Creek Rd. The closest exit for the place from I-64 is exit 278 which brings you to Chesapeake Blvd. It is basically where N. Military Hwy, Chesapeake Blvd., and E. Little Creek Rd. meet. Because of how traffic flows are, you will want to go onto N. Military Hwy to E. Little Creek Rd. My visit here was on January 18, 2025. I don't come over to this area very often. I was out this way for our departmental luncheon. There is another location close to where I live, so I figured this would still be good too. There was ample parking when I arrived. It wasn't too busy when I came in, but I think the rainy weather that day may have kept some away. The inside of the place is pretty big, so I could tell that they would easily be able to accommodate a group of our size. The overall ambiance of the place was inviting and has those Mexican vibes to it. Even though everyone wasn't there yet, our server came to the table and checked each time as others arrived to find out what drink(s) we wanted. I did stick with water with lemons, as I don't do the sodas and such. Within a 15 minute window, everyone arrived and we were checking over the menu options. After some time and chatter, the server came around to get our orders. I decided to go with the Top Shelf Queso as an appetizer and the Super Burrito with Chicken entree. I normally don't do the tortilla, but I figured I would this time. After everyone ordered, it would be about 5 minutes or so when all the appetizer orders came out. The Top Shelf Queso was really good. It had a good flavor to it. I didn't eat the whole thing of course, so I did bring the rest home afterwards to consume then too. About 10 minutes after the appetizers came out, the entrees came out to the table. The Super Burrito looked really good too. It was hot so I had to wait a moment to start on it. The burrito was really good. The flavors complemented very well. I have been in diabetic remission for about 19 months and counting as of the time of this review. I was pleasantly surprised that in the end, I did not get any major glucose spikes from the meal that day too. Overall, the food, service and atmosphere were phenomenal. The food was really good. The servers were on it for all of us during that visit too. They were quick to check and make sure there were no issues and were quick to keep the water cups full too. You will definitely get the Mexican atmosphere here. If you happen to be in that part of Norfolk and looking for a Mexican restaurant, this place is definitely worth coming to.
